BEST CRISPY PATA in Regina!!! We’ve tried all the Filipino restos in Regina and if you want VERY crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth, fall off the bone and perfectly seasoned meat without that pork gamey taste pork hocks, then go try S&A Favorito’s Crispy Pata! It’s 10/10 recommendation! Also will recommend their Bulalo Soup with good amounts of Lean Meat and fresh vegetables and just the right dose of bone marrow. It’s not oily and definitely tastes fresh without the beef bouillon taste that other restos have. 5/5 stars for the clearest bulalo soup around and it speaks to their techniques on how to cook this dish. I have ordered a birthday cake on the phone, at the time I said I might be able to pick up the cake at lunch if the weather is cold, I don't want the cake milt in the car, otherwise I will pick it up after work around 5:00. The day I need to pick up the cake the weather is very warm, so I went after work, the door is locked, I called and no one answers. finally I got hold of the owner by facebook, they shut the store down before I pick up my cake. They claims that they called me at lunch, I did have ONE miss call and I called right back and no one answered, and the miss call did not leave a message, I have no idea who called, and when I call back the other side also did not have a answer machine. This is definitely a gem in Regina! We came in passing through from a long drive from BC. All of us - my mom, boyfriend and I - were all hungry on the road with another 6 more hours to home. The food did not disappoint - beef bulalo was superb, daing na bangus was well marinated and the crispy pata was FTW! It was very crispy and fall off the bones, best crispy pata I've ever had in my life (honestly, a must try!) The staff was very friendly, they even gave us free super fresh and soft pandesal.
