This is a complete 180degree turn on my 1 star rating. Its been almost a year since our disappointing last visit. We have not had KFC since. Tonight I decided to speak to the cashier when placing an instore order for a 9 piece bucket and fries deal. I was advised from my past experience to ask for more white meat as the 60/40 rule allows. He checked with the supervisor and I was allowed 5 white pieces which could include wings, and 4 dark which could be drumsticks or thighs. I stated I wanted absolutely NO drumsticks. He asked again if we could have just thighs and they okayed it. Well were we ever pleased with the mix. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was moist and delicious. There was a perfect breast piece, the wings are cut with a bit of white meat on them, and decent thighs that looked like breast. The fries seemed extra tasty and were what i would call seasoned homefry style (with a bit of potato skin). I really liked these and had never noticed them like this in the past. The gravy was spot on delicious. The side of Coleslaw was perfect as well. This was how I remembered KFC and our past purchases! So I will now give this restaurant a perfect score of 5 and we will be back! Thank you, it was a learning experience.
11 months ago: Extremely upset with the 12 piece bucket of 5 Drumsticks, 1 Wing and 6 Thighs! Not 1 Breast piece! We don’t like Dark meat as it is, so this will be made into chicken salad sandwiches hidden in mayo and celery. I called the “Manager” Ramen(?) and she held steadfast that we had a standard 12 piece bucket of a 60/40 mix. The 6 thighs were considered large pieces of the ratio. I’ve been getting KFC since the 80s and I’ve never ever had such dissatisfaction. She said I was to tell them to put more white meat because I could have up to 7 pieces of white before they charge “extra” So I guess I might get 7 wings as she considers those white pieces? I’ve never had to say what I wanted. A good variety with 1 breast, because I get that good piece, and hubby will eat wings before a drumstick. I contacted KFC Canada because the kfclistens.ca address is no longer valid. I put this review. I received multiple phone calls at 10:45PM from "Balpreet" who was very upset with my review on Google. He didn't want this public. I am offered 4 pieces of white meat as concession. He says they were out of extra crispy breast pieces. He said white is considered wing or "ribs". I laugh at that, chicken Ribs? What cut is that, and it sounds pretty scarce of meat. I'm now questioning if the 6 "thighs" were maybe these ribs he spoke of. No coupon or way to prove this other than his word. He said to show up and just say my name and i will get this 4 piece. Could be 1 breast piece, and Ribs, thighs. So, this makes 1 white meat to me. So there is now a note with my name...sounds scary to me. Here's your chicken...coming up... ;) No thankyou. $38.84 with tax after coupon, for 12 piece bucket of beaks, uh i mean "chicken ribs", large fries and gravy. Read moreDON'T ORDER ONLINE! I used the KFC app to order a meal for my kids when I was out. 90 minutes after ordering my kids told me it hadn't arrived yet. I called the location and was told Uber picked it up 5 minutes after I placed my order and they had no way to track it. I said I didn't order via Uber. I was told Uber is who picks it up. I was charged $7 for delivery. I checked the doorbell camera at my house and the food was delivered but the driver never rang the doorbell so the food sat out in the cold for over an hour. When I called the location to let them know this happened, I was met with "we tell the drivers to ring the doorbell" and that's all they could do. I couldn't get a refund for the ice cold food or the BS $7 delivery charge...I checked Uber Eats app and delivery is $0.99 there and I would have had the option to track my order and report a problem. Definitely won't be ordering from KFC app ever again as it's basically TFB once they have your money.
EDIT: Was called back from staff at location today. They said they talked to Uber and they won't be issuing a refund as it's Ubers fault not KFC and I should have used their delivery drivers...I ORDERED FROM THE KFC WEBSITE NOT UBER!! An offer was made for the location to email Uber and cc me in that email, not holding my breath in a solution there either.
EDIT #2 - One week later, Uber emailed saying they'll refund the delivery charge but not the cost of the food because the driver completed the delivery. Radio silence from the store. The delivery refund will likely go to KFC not me anyways since I didn't order on the...

We have been KFC customers for over 50 years and the thing that we truly enjoyed about KFC is the so called secret herbs & spices that has always made their chicken taste so good. Simply put no matter where in north America you ordered KFC, it always tasted good. We recently ordered a 10 piece bucket of chicken from the KFC Rochdale BLVD location for my wife and I and immediately after the first bite we noticed that something was wrong with this chicken as the skin had absolutely zero taste to it at all. It was just like eating chicken with no skin on it. We called and asked to speak to the manager and she politely told us, "sorry that is the way that it is and it is not our fault" I told her that there must have been an error in preparing this chicken to which she relied, ": that is impossible" Folks I will never spend another nickel eating at KFC as the old saying goes, ' The are at least a dozen other fast food chicken restaurants to choose from, so why spend your hard earned money at a place that no longer cares if they make good chicken or not" Rest...
