Mr.Sub — Restaurant in Regina

So the first thing, I'm going to try not to do a direct comparison between Mr Sub and another well known sandwich chain but it's inevitable. I'll even leave out most of the Covid stuff. We had just gotten coupons for the place in the mail and we decided to try it out because we don't usually go there. First the worker or on fresh gloves which was great. The coupons were only for their "classic" subs, which wouldn't be a big deal but as far as I could tell from the menu and the person working, that was only like 4 kinds. Whatever, no big deal. My wife and I went there and we were also buying subs for our kids. Wife has dietary restrictions concerning gluten so she ordered the keto bun which voided the coupon she was going to use. Wierd. We thought it would be just a simple up charge like at the other place. Nope. So we just used a different coupon and she ordered a sub for one of our kids and I was going to do a separate transaction for myself and the other sub we were getting. This whole time, the worker is disappearing to the back to get stuff that wasn't stocked in the line. Not a big deal but delayed us and the people behind us. The rest of our transaction went well until it was my turn to pay. I paid cash (I know, I know Covid but whatever). The worker took my money with their gloved hand and have me change back. As I was collecting my items and change to put away, the worker went to serve the next person in line without washing hands or changing gloves. In normal times that would be unacceptable. In Covid times..... Well you get the drift. I mentioned it and the worker changed gloves but didn't wash hands. Probably not going to go there again. Even though we used coupons, the 4 subs cost around $37. The food was good which is why it's 2...

Went here today and was very disappointed the veggies were not fresh and it wasn’t clean . Once I came to sauces I absolutely lost my appetite as they were caked in dry sauce plus dried up food all stuck to the tops that I refused to even get a sauce scared I would get sick as I typically get mayo and tzatziki would not take the chance. The bread was so dry rock hard on bottom corners ended up throwing it away once I got home because it was just not clean and if they have it like that in the front I could imagine what the back looks like . I go to the South Albert MR SUB at least once a week and NEVER have I ever seen that location in that state with old veggies dry hard bread and overall cleanliness lacking . This location...

They have good service and are friendly. Despite the undertone of potential aggressive behaviour if you step out of line as a customer. Question them etc... I used to be a regular customer. Unfortunately I noticed after ordering a club sandwich today. Like others have said they are cutting back. She had me focused on paying while finishing making the sub thinking I wouldn't notice. I only got ham and bacon on my Canadian club sandwich. It's Advertised with chicken and black forest ham I also paid full price. It's fine to cut back just don't do it...
