Houston Pizza — Restaurant in Regina

I have to give a huge shout out here. We eat out more than I would like to admit, and have been going to this Houston Pizza location for over 2 decades now, 3 different owners, and several staff over that time. We have never experienced such amazing service as we have with a server there named Dustin. He is the most attentive, and on the ball server I have ever experienced at any establishment we have gone to. My teenage kids, well one is almost an adult now, have run into him at various places in the city and he has gone out of his way to go up to them and say hi etc. There was one incident I have to give this server kudos on. We were eating and a couple of ladies were seated in a booth beside us. Normally the smell of smoke doesn't bother me, but this was so strong and overpowering. He just noticed our mood had changed while I was asking my husband if he wanted to go move somewhere else as it was very overpowering. Dustin came over to ask if everything was okay and I quietly told him. This young man nodded and said "yes, I do notice a draft over here, how about I move you to the other side where it should be a bit better." I was flabbergasted at how professionally this was handled. I don't know that I would have handled this situation as smooth had it been me. He is hands down our favourite server ever! The absolute best we have ever had in the 24 years we have been together! We were just there on Sunday and was told by our server that he is only in on Tuesdays now. I'm not sure why you would only have this amazing server in once a week, unless he's in school etc. and that's all is he available, so will have to for sure scale back our visits to just Tuesdays now. If you are in the mood for great food on Tuesdays, go and see Dustin! He is amazing! You will not be disappointed! Best service...

We absolutely love Houston Pizza. Always order from the Normanview location as well as dine in at this location. However, over the past 3 or 4 times when we ordered the All Dressed pizza, we found the dough to be quite soggy on the bottom of the pizza. I figured this is caused by the mushrooms which they put on top of the sauce, then the meat, onions and cheese on top.

So tonight we called to order an All Dressed pizza and I specifically asked the lady who took our order to have the mushrooms put on top of the meet and or cheese.

After picking the pizza up and opening at home we were very disappointed to see that they did not accommodate our request. The mushrooms were on the bottom and YES, the dough was extremely soggy.

We love Houston Pizza and especially Normanview location, however, they let us down tonight.

I wish they would just put mushrooms on top of the meat when making the pizza. Wouldn't cause bottom dough...

We have been going to this location for a very long time . It’s our go to wing night for my husband and nephew . I will start my saying I’m a vegetarian So I order quesadillas and I sub mushroom for the chicken . Well half way through I noticed something different so I opened it up and it had chicken in it . Well the poor server went to talk to the kitchen and they said there was no way and trying to tell me it was cheese . Well if it was cheese why didn’t it melt .( might add it was hot ) I gave some to both men I was with and they both said it was chicken . So they have lost my trust . I will not eat there again . It looked as if they put chicken and remembered it was supposed to be meat free so they picked it off and the small shreds were left behind .
