The Bannock House — Restaurant in Regina

I've visited this restaurant on several occasions and very much enjoyed the service and food. Indian taco my favorite choice on the menu, however, I thought I'd try something different. I order a Bannock burger with fries and gravy, my order comes in reasonable time. Oh my it looks delicious, so I begin, starting with the huge stack of homemade fries and gravy. Very tasty I thought, not yet tasting my huge yummy bannock burger. Thinking I'll save the best for last. As I'm about to take another mouthful of the yummy fries...OMG ! THERE SITS HAIR!!! PUBIC HAIR !!! I SWEAR ON THE BIBLE, RIGHT ON TOP MY FRIES. GROSS !!! I INSTANTLY SHOW MY DAUGHTER, AND SHE AGREES THAT YES INDEED ITS HAIR. WHATS GROSS AND DISGUSTING IS THAT THE HAIR IS LIGHT REDDISH BLONDE COLOR, CLEARLY VISIBLE TO ANYONE. NOW I LOST MY APPETITE , SO I CALL OVER THE WAITRESS, I ASK HER WHAT SHE SEES. SHE STANDS THERE LOOKING AND CAN CLEARLY SEE IT BUT SAYS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AND WALKS AWAY. I CAN HEAR HER AND THE COOK AT THE BACK. FROM THAT MOMENT ON IM LITERALLY IGNORED, NO RESPONSE FROM WAITRESS, NO APOLOGY, NO NOTHING ! THE LOOK ON HER FACE SEEMS OF EMBARRASS MENT, OR CLEARLY NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD. THIS EXPERIENCE WAS THE FIRST AND LAST VISIT. UNFORTUNATELY, I'M NOT HAPPY BECAUSE I TRULY ENJOYED THE FOOD. NOT ANYMORE THOUGH. I DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD THIS HAPPEN. BUT WHEN IT HAPPENS TO YOU , IT GROSS AND UNSANITARY. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN A PICTURE . TOO BAD NOBODY...

Very disappointed with my experience today. Kitchen looked very dirty, not even the floor looked clean. Ordered a bannock burger and a kids chicken fingers. took my daughter for some food and my burger came out grey and half raw, got a few bites in and couldn't stomach it at all (still not feeling well after eating it) my daughters chicken fingers were very crispy and the fries we both got tasted like they were cooked in very dirty/old oil. The service was hit and miss. An older Lady was extremely nice and sweet but the younger lady seemed to just have an issue with anything and everything. was super excited to finally try the food here and it just fell...

I've been to the Wascana pool location a couple of times. I've had a bannock burger, veggie bannock sandwich, bannock taco, and fries. The food is very greasy and expensive. On hot days the cheese melts under the sun and everything gets soggy from the grease. The taco salad was disappointing and the presentation was messy. They didn't give me any napkins. The vegetable bannock sandwich was just lettuce, tomatoes and onions. No good fresh veggies. The fries are very tasty but I really wish they had good healthy...
