Driving around, I was craving Mucho Burrito...but...they were closed. Barbaritto is just flat out disgusting so that's a no. So, did some googling and came up with Blanco Cantina and thought I'd give it a shot. It's located on what used to be La Bodega and that place has amazing food so thought I'd check it out. The layout is pretty much the same, it's a nice layout especially if you're going to have some kind of group and I bet you could arrange to have a section to yourself. So, thought I'd with tots and I ordered a beef and cheese burrito with black bean and corn salad as a side. The tots were pretty good with fresh green onion, diced tomato, and sour cream and cilantro served up with a dip. The tots..pretty standard and you can't really mess those. With the fresh toppings they were pretty good. The dip was nothing really special so I added some green habanero sauce (one of four or 5 hot sauces supplied at the table) and that helped with some nice flavour. Next, my main, the beef and cheese burrito. The wrap is pretty nice but average. The beef was....minced a little too fine and the flavouring really wasn't a Mexican burrito flavoring. It was also filled with white rice. The rice was a tad bit over done and low in flavour...and I wasn't sure where the cheese was. I thought at first maybe the rice was done Queso Blanco..but..nope. The burrito filling was averagely generous. I added more of the green habanero hot sauce to give it more flavour profile. The sauces are a good selection including the Valencia you can get anywhere. Well, all the hot sauces are available at any grocery store....but they are good ones. If you aren't a fan of really authentic Mexican food...this is the place for you. I can see patrons dating each other to try the hot sauces....I'd wanna be there to drink some straight from the bottle. 😉 If you are a fan of authentic Mexican food, I suggest Agave, hands down. Staff is nice, very welcoming upon entering and leaving. I had 2 staff either take my order, check on me, bring my food, or take my payment. The guy I dealt with was pretty good and decent at making the small talk..and the reason I gave a tip. There was a girl check on me...she was alright...but..I only got one refill on my diet coke. It would have been nice to get at least 1 more refill. With the shortage of refills, maybe have a pitcher of water at the table. The black bean and corn salad was the best part, it was hearty...but...the dressing seemed like a thin thousand island dressing. If they make it with ingredients like Mexican street corn, that would be amazing. The food I got was filling but below par for the pricing. Just under 50$ including the tip. Will I go again? Probably not. Do I not recommend them? Meh...depends on your taste. Luke I said, if you aren't a fan of authentic Mexican food, this might be the place for you. And I've eaten authentic Mexican food...in Mexico. Eating the local hot compared to tourist hot has you making friends with the locals pretty quick. 😉

We were sat quickly and the server was welcoming and efficient. Not much has changed inside the restaurant since its last iteration, but it was nice then too. Given the nice service and venue, our expectations were high. The first thing that jumped at me was how dirty the food menu was. It was all stained and wrinkled even though the place has only been open for weeks. No big deal, the contents sounded tasty. Then I read the drink menu and I got kind of hung up on the tequila prices. For instance, there's a ninety dollar bottle on the menu selling at $35/ounce. That's a 1000% markup! I realize alcohol gets marked up but that's insane. There's also a $75/ounce selection on there, and granted it's a $400 bottle BUT that's a whole bottle! So now that I was sufficiently biased against this place, our food arrived. In my now biased opinion, I found it middle of the road at best. I kept thinking I should go back to Agavé, and give them another try. I was thinking "this is ok, but Agavé was much better". We finished up and vowed to return to Agavé the next day which we did, and they were terrible. Now I'm depressed and the only thing lifting my spirits is my bottle of Casamigos Reposado, and the knowledge that by drinking it at home, I'm saving $22/oz.

A nice Mexican inspired restaurant with an awesome menu. After being seated, they give you some chips and salsa to wet your appetite. Many appetizers to choose from, but we got the Queso dip. It was more of a dry cheese queso versus a melted cheese Queso. It was very flavorful, but we ran out of chips before we finished our queso. Since it was Tuesday, we had the great special, 1/2 price tacos. Mix and match from pork, chicken, fish, and beef on corn or flour tortillas. We added sides of cheese, sour cream, salsa, and red sauce. The service was great. They have both outdoor and indoor seating to choose from. I would recommend reservations as this place was very busy. They have various specials every day, which we will have to try.

Just had dinner here, started off very well but after putting in our food order’s service went down hill fast. we never received chips and salsa. food was delivered by a different server who looked very unprofessional hair didn’t looked brushed and was falling out of the ponytail very much a turn off as i don’t want hair in my food she also appeared to not be in dress code assuming it is black and she was in green and jean shorts. our food which was absolutely delicious but didn’t get culturally or even napkins until we we’re essentially done eating by our original server which was frustrating as we were never asked if we needed anything else when our food was delivered. we watched both waitress drinking eating and giggling on their phones behind the bar while us and the table waited over 20 minutes for our bills. thankfully once we got our bill we paid in cash so we didn’t have to wait for her to come back 20 more minutes later with the debit machine. Very frustrating as it was not busy until we left and the food was amazing. undecided if...
