Trying new restaurants is always hit or miss… unfortunately this one was a miss.

I ORIGINALLY ordered the Lobby Lager Battered Fish Tacos ($19) with yam fries ($3). I ate one and wasn’t too happy about it, then had two small bites of the second before I realized that there was NO fish in the 2nd it was multiple little battered crumble bits. I didn’t even attempt the 3rd, just tore open the “fish”. My fish tacos were 1% fish, 49% air and 50% batter.

The amazing server checked on me and I admitted to her that I was missing the fish in my fish tacos. I instead asked for the chicken tacos. She was extremely understanding and super attentive.

This is the 2nd time in my life I’ve ever sent a plate back. I just couldn’t justify $19 fish tacos without the fish. Soon enough, I got a refire of some chicken tacos. They were 10x better. However, I wouldn’t recommend them. Tortillas are quite dry, the tacos themselves are 50% cabbage, flavours were missing their mark and fries weren’t anything special. This was consistent with both plates.

Again, the server was amazing. I tipped her 20%. She even gave me a 30% discount on the meal as a whole. After tax, the discount, and the tip: I...

The only saving grace was food and atmosphere. From the get go server seemed like she don't want to serve?? We were smiling and having a good time with our group but everything seemed rude from the server side. Don't get me wrong she seemed to be having time of her life with the other table but with our table it felt like she doesn't want us to be there?? It felt like she threw my partner's plate on the table, I could be wrong about it and maybe it slipped out of her but it felt like she slammed it. The bill was over 150 for 4 of us plus the tip, which isn't bad...but no thank you, no hello, no bye. It really made us feel that we were unwanted there.

While leaving we got up and she was standing right next to us/passing our table and again no gesture of any kind.

We can cook at home and Eating food anywhere isn't the problem, but people go out for good service and friendly environment but if this is the service then God help us all.

I would consider changing my review on my next visit when I come back to Regina and get a chance to check it out again, or I would like a response from the management.

Again, food was great, compliments to the cooks, no...

Updated review: Tried The Lobby again for lunch with some friends after 5 months. It’s not better. If you can’t cook something, take it off the menu. Or if you know it’s burnt, don’t send it out. This was the case with my salad. I ordered the Apple Walnut salad with salmon and the salmon underneath was completely burnt and hard, looked like chicken. The service was better but I’m still not impressed. I still stand by my previous review and I’ll like never refer someone to The Lobby.

Very disappointed in the service. We had a group of 8 and had to wait 10-20 minutes for the waitress to ask us if we needed more drinks, not to mention my brother is still waiting for his refill…As we were wrapping up to leave, the restaurant was completely empty save us and a single other patron. There were absolutely NO staff in sight for about 20 minutes. We were finally able to wave over one staff member who tried to charge my grandfather for the entire table when we had 4 separate bills. Most of us were pleased with our drinks and food, despite some of it being on the pricey side. However, this did nothing to outweigh the...

Located in a very nice neighbourhood that gives off safe and clean vibes. I was a bit skeptical due to some of the reviews being disappointing experiences but we tried it anyways. Service was very friendly and receptive- we got to seat ourselves. So we headed outside as the AC was a bit chilly. Prompt service. The menu matched that which was online. I had the grilled cesar wrap which automatically came with a side of fries, any other options are priced upgrades (it wasn’t clear on the menu that it comes with fries as a side per baseline). The fries are home cut and very crispy. Tasty! My wrap was really good too, held together well, tasted great. It was quiet enough outside that we could have a conversation; inside seems it might be a bit more challenging due to the music & if it had been a busier night. The price was decent- no different than a restaurant who served similar dishes and a good environment. I only didn’t give it a 5 because it didn’t stand out as somewhere I’d call my favourite place on earth to eat but I would definitely return and disagree with most of the poor reviews I read!
