Not as expected! I'm writing to express my family's disappointment with a La Rocca 'Truffle Royale' cake I recently purchased from our local Metro grocery store. We were disappointed to find that our cake was largely composed of a chocolate devil's food cake layer with minimal white and dark truffle layers. We didn't realize the discrepancy until half of the cake was exposed. The cake I purchased was clearly not as depicted on your packaging. As you can see from the picture below we were short changed on the truffle layers. Not only did this fall short of our expectations but it also failed to impress the vanilla truffle fans in my family! What adds insult to injury is the complete disregard for customer satisfaction demonstrated by your company. When I contacted La Rocca Cakes to express our concerns, rather than offering us a refund or replacement, I was met with excuses and deflection leaving me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. As a consumer who values quality and expects transparency and accountability from the businesses we support, I find this level of service unacceptable. Not only have you failed to deliver on your promises of quality, but you have also failed to uphold the basic standards of customer satisfaction. I urge La Rocca Cakes to take immediate action to rectify this situation by offering a full refund for the subpar cake we received. Additionally, I suggest that you review your quality control measures and customer service practices to ensure that future customers don't experience the same disappointment and frustration that we have. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution to this matter.

Read moreI bought the tiramisu cake at Safeway in Oregon City Oregon. I paid $28.00 which is considerable for a local retail chain grocery store. The cake with the espresso was delicious but it only had minimal espresso which is what makes a tiramisu. It was very disappointing trying to tear the cake apart looking for the espresso. Someone dropped the ball on my cake. I think they may have been in a hurry and just slapped it together. I read all of your reviews. When something goes wrong all I see you saying is that you’re a small family business and the bad reviews are harsh but the only remedy I saw was that you refunded 1 persons purchase and that was all I saw. Why couldn’t you have made it right with all the bad reviews so they could have felt good about the purchase and rewrite the review and want to continue being a customer. And it would be nice if you responded to every review good and bad. Like I said the cake with the espresso part in it was delicious. But I don’t feel like I got my moneys worth. I paid for espresso and it wasn’t delivered.
Ok I broke down and bought another tiramisu cake which is delicious but once again had to look for the...
Read moreHonestly, I'm not a huge cake person as I don't love traditional cake texture or super sweet icing, but the cakes here have changed my mind! It's almost embarrassing how many flavours I have tried the last few years at the many family functions and birthdays (e.g. chocolate truffle, jamocha almond fudge, pink lemonade, truffle royale, caramel crunch, a delectable berry merengue cake - hey, I have a large family!). Yesterday I was surprised for my birthday with their new cookie dough cake - so good!! I love the different textures within all their cakes. (The cookie dough, for instance, has layers of ganache, whipped cream, cake, cookie dough, chocolate fudge, and cookie!) These cakes are never boring, and always delicately balanced so nothing is over the top sweet and there is always flavour variety! I just noticed they have a cookie butter cake and I now know what I'm asking...
