Annëken Bistro Artisan — Restaurant in Rigaud

Honestly before we walked in,my partner was a bit hesitant since he didn’t see so many guests through the window, I even asked if he wanted to go somewhere else instead and luckily he didn’t. That would have been a bad mistake to turn around lol We’ve never been here before so we asked for some recommendations for the food and ended up ordering Shish Taouk chicken and Beef tartare. The chicken was fresh cooked, well seasoned and done perfectly. The beef was fresh (which was important for beef tartare) with interesting Asian touch and fun texture from crunchy Rice Krispies and stuffs. Portions were good for the price. The ambiance was nice,very cozy,friendly and welcoming vibe. The chef came a few times to check out on us and asked about foods,so as the waitress. Our kid got a free French fries and we only knew when we came over to the cashier to pay for the bill (which was really nice of them! We’re appreciated that!). It was a great experience for us to go out and enjoy the local restaurant. I thought with the quality of the food and service,they would have been buzier but we might come over during slow time. Of course it worked out for us but they definitely deserve to be known and supported more. It’s our first time there and would definitely not be the last. We just want to share our experience and encourage everyone to please come over and support this local lovely bistro. Thank you so much for great foods and amazing service! P/s: As a picky eater,I have been to a lot,a lot of restaurants and have my own catering small business so it’s hard to impress me with foods lol But the way they made and served their foods was absolutely amazing and we will come back...

On route to Montreal we found this perfect cozy Bistro with the friendliest service! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and they backed it up with one culinary delight after another.

The French Onion soup was good, the cheeseburger was comforting, margaritas were perfect and the desert... oh boy the beignets were light and drool worthy.

Loved everything about this place! The menu has something for everyone. We had scallops that melted in your mouth and the lamb shank was so tasty and so tender I'm going back again for more. The staff are lovely, and the chef is super friendly. Highly recommend giving this place a go. It's the kind of restaurant you can order a bottle of wine and happily settle in...
