My lovely wife Pat and I finally took the opportunity to dine at this intriguing 50/60's style restaurant. We both enjoyed the ambiance throughout. Invited to pick a seat our request for a booth was readily acknowledged. Our waitress was kind enough to point out that the juke box was not currently working. Overhead piped in music of the era was enough for the two of us. Service was prompt. Each of our meals included soup which both Pat and I thoroughly enjoyed. Fresh, warmed buns were served along with softened butter on the side, was a nice touch to our soup. We both enjoyed our main meals which followed the completion of our soups. Each time our waitress checked on our opinions of the provided bowls/plates of food. Neither of us found any fault. Our waitress did not mind my walking around to check out the bottom floor (not overly busy at the odd time of day we choose to eat). Made sure to get pictures to mate with this review. I choose to have dessert on this rare occasion (prebirthday celebration). No complaints with the lemon merengue pie I devoured. High recommendations for this style of eatery. We both look forward to a return visit. PS. Did not notice, until I'd added the photos to my review, that we were not charged for the pie. Will be sure to stop by tomorrow and pay.

I really can’t fathom or understand why anyone wouldn’t come here for breakfast. Hands down much better service, food and atmosphere then the unsaid neighbouring competition next door. I have tried both and the friendly smiles, fresh food quick service and impeccable establishment brings me back. This 50s inspired venue is sooo cool and the owner works hard everyday and is onsite doing the most helping out. My breakfast was so filling and only $14.99 . The only place I will be returning to. So much flavour unlike the other place close by. Thank you for all you do, see you soon

Ok folks. There is no way in hell you can complain about a thing at Steve’s. The food is all homemade, the portion sizes are crazy and the staff and service is among the best around. The milkshake’s are like they used to make when milkshakes were what we dreamed of. Lobster Roll, over the moon good. Hot Turkey sandwich was moist, delicious and more than most men can eat. The other couple with us had breakfast for lunch- incredible. Chocolate cake with boiled frosting. WOW. I’d eat there everyday if I lived here. I have zero clue what people have to complain about.

They offer a great breakfast but if you are going during the weekend, expect a possible wait time. The food is top quality and portion size is quite large.

The addition of fresh fruit to the breakfasts adds a nice little touch. It didn't take long to get my meal despite being quite crowded and busy.

My only complaint is that once your food is delivered, you really need to flag down a waitress if you need anything else because they are quite busy.

Steve's is our normal breakfast spot when we are in the city and will likely continue to be our first pick.

........

Edited....

After our last two visits I doubt we will be back. Today we waited over 45 minutes for a simple breakfast and an omelette. We were told several times it was coming but after 45 min we decided to leave. Breakfast shouldn't need 2 hrs booked...

Went before and it didn't really impressed me. Heard lots of things and decided to give them a second chance. This was the last time im going there. They screwed up our order...my gf and child had their meals but the kitchen forgot about my plate...ended up waiting for mine...by the time it arrived it looked nothing like the picture in the menu that attracted my eye in the first place...not to mention it looked like it was made in a hurry...even if you did screw up the order...its no big deal...but if your customer had to wait longer...at least make it eye appealing...and redeem yourself with a worth for waiting plate. Never going back...its too bad...cuz the waitress was very polite and professional...its too bad they have to pay the price for the...
