Toujours Mikes — Restaurant in Rivière-du-Loup

I called and asked to place an order for delivery, was placed on hold and, after 8 minutes and 43 seconds I hung up and re-dialed. The second time the same female wait-staff answered and asked if she could help me. I replied that I had tried to call previously and was placed on hold for almost 9 minutes and she didn’t reply, only hung up on me. Called the third time and asked for the manager. Someone picked up after another 4 minutes and I tried to explain what had happened. She said, “We are very busy,” to which I replied that 9 minutes was a long time. She merely asked if I still wanted to order, did not acknowledge my concerns, asked again if I wanted delivery and she said I don’t understand. I said I still wanted food but didn’t want it tampered with because of the complaint and she hung up on me as well. Needless to say, no order was placed. “Greeeeeeeeeat”...

The food was pretty good, the bruschetta rolls and the garlic fingers were lovely and my carbonara and my husbands Mac and cheese were lovely (though would have been better if they were warm cause they were quite cool). My only complaints are that they didn’t give us cutlery so we had to go ask the hotel for cutlery, and my husbands churro doughnuts had nothing with them - they were just plain and had no flavour at all, no sugar or cinnamon or anything resembling a churro. And the brownie was sort of like eating a chocolate sponge. I think if we’re ever in RDL again, we’ll come in person to give it another shot, but I wouldn’t go out of my way...

I have NEVER experienced such disgusting racism in my life. I am an black male and dont speak french very well but i try my best. The females serves were extremely disgusting and kept looking at us using the word chien and laughing. My table didnt have any forks and when i asked for some they just saying in a minute, but they never came. After about 20 mins i asked for the bill. It took them about 20mins for that as well even when the restaurant was quiet. I was so disgusted by the service i didnt leave a tip. The lady then called me cheap and rolled her eyes. I hope others do not experience this as it was...
