So sad when a restaurant is great but the waitress isn’t at par! The food was great! It came quick, it was very good and the coffee was fresh as well! We came 5 people to this restaurant for my cousin’s birthday. After we paid, her sister was put on the spot by a waitress named Sharon by being asked directly and only to her “Was there something wrong with my service? Because you didn’t tip me.” Not only were we all completely shocked by the waitress’s approach, but she actually thought that she left her a 20% tip just like the rest of us did at our table. As she tried to explain that she must’ve made a mistake on the machine, the waitress walked away from our table. My cousin was very embarrassed in front of our friends and family, that she scrambled to borrow $5 from one of us at the table since she did not have cash on her. She was very thrown off that another one of our family members stood up to go hand the waitress the $5 on my cousin’s behalf and attempted to explain why she felt like the waitresses’ approach was pretty rough. She proceeded to say that she “wanted to improve her service for next time” and did not believe that she was rough, as she took the $5. In my opinion, if you were truly concerned about your service, you would genuinely ask about your service rather than just mentioning the money and coming off as greedy. When it was my turn to pay, I had to press the tip option 3 times on the machine because it was not working- I even asked the waitress for help because the machine was frozen. Maybe next time it would be a good idea to check if she had the same issue with the machine that 2 other people did, rather than assuming that she intentionally did not want to tip you and rudely call her out on it in front of her family and friends. As someone who has worked in restaurants for over 10 years, there are about a million different ways that this situation could’ve been handled. Unfortunately this type of experience does not want to make us return to a restaurant that could’ve been a...
