Incredibly sized dishes which makes the pricing decent. We had the Coconut Curry, it was to die for but definitely still has a kick even though we got the mild option. Also had the Cuban Sandwich, not that impressive but not bad. The pub is in a nice setting, and though we sat outdoors, I can imagine indoors with a group of friends being really nice. I had a local ale which complimented the curry perfectly. Highly recommend if you're passing through.

Nice pub with friendly and courteous staff. Drinks were good I had a local craft pale ale while my wife had a virgin caesar; their caesars (drink) are absolutely delicious! 😋 My wife and I each had a burger, Chorizo Burger for myself and a John Candy Burger for her each with caesar salad and we're happy with what we ordered ☺ they were fantastic!

Restaurant: We always enjoy our meals at the Flying Steamshovel. Over the years, the food quality has remained solid (fresh, a step or two above usual pub food), the service always friendly, and the drink selection (local and other craft beer and cocktails) awesome. Overall: recommended and we keep going back! Haven’t stayed at the Inn yet.

What did I like? I like that it was a great location (who doesn't love Rossland?) It's in a beautiful spot and was renovated a few years ago. The servers and hotel staff were pretty good, they did their best. The food was above average for pub food very yummy and looked inviting. ||What didn't I like? Its dingy. They renovated a few years back and are letting it go. The bathroom floor's in the pub were oooie. The beautiful oak trim in the pub, (that I'm sure they spent a bundle on) is going to hell in a hand cart. |The carpet to the rooms hadn't been vacuumed in sometime. The rooms were clean and bed was comfy. I hate paper and plastic cups and no stir sticks or spoon. Then....... there is that 3rd party booking agent. Its all great when things go well but when it doesn't like in my case, it turns in to a nightmare. It was Grad weekend, and we were looking forward to a fun filled family night. They only booked 1 room manager took care of promptly thank god. Then there is the USD charges when I booked in CDN and don't get me started on the receipt without tax info. |A little up keep goes a long way!|I would't stay here again unless it was dirt cheap... or they change their ways|NOT local...

About the music: bring earplugs and plan ahead if you're worried about the noise, folks - visit their website, obviously, and see if there is music playing on a night you're here, and if that bothers you then be an adult and figure something else out.

We (two couples) stayed upstairs in the family studio, plenty of space to spread out and cook meals in the kitchen. 5 min drive from skiing. 3 min walk from everything downtown. 10-second walk from a chill bar and restaurant with a really good menu at reasonable prices, and a pool table that was free on our night. I like the air-bnb check in process, simple, I did not have to contact the staff at all. Though I could see it being difficult if something came up. Room is clean and complete. I will stay here again when I come back, which I will for sure. A reasonable person will not find anything negative about this place, in fact it's awesome. Let the herds head to Whistler or Lake Louise, while you go the other way for a relaxed and genuine getaway...

Service great. We were in town for a couple nights. Our server who I believe might be the manager seated us promptly. Happy hour menu still in effect for 30 mins. We were able to get 2 rounds of drinks in plus he added a glass of wine for the happy hour menu price after.

Peacado (fish) tacos : 8/10 Good. Liked the breading on the fish and kept it simple as opposed to over loading ingredients. Cabbage was a good touch for the crunch as well as sauce. The corn tortillas were delicious.

Brussels sprouts (park and balsamic) : 10/10. Great flavour and great crunch.

Carnitas taco: 7/10. Meat portion good. Pineapple on top was a perfect touch.

Drinks: Margarita happy hour Wine Beer

We all enjoyed our drinks.

We only had happy hour food. Was not super hungry but the food was filling and drinks good. The server gave us great recommendations - Rossland Brewery. Which we attended after and had some great drinks.

We would come back and we...
