The Underbelly Bistro — Restaurant in Rossland

Delightful lunch! We took a day trip from Wynndel to wander around Rossland and enjoy lunch. And that we did! Michel, the owner, greeted us so warmly, and was happy to answer our few questions as my husband is gluten intolerant. When I ordered the Gong Bao and asked to hold the bean sprouts, Michel offered to replace them with Asian slaw. Sweet! Hubby had the Falafel Wrap, but in a bowl. When our meal was ready we walked a block to the library and enjoyed lunch outside at the picnic table under the tree. The meals were soooo good that we wolfed them down in no time! What a mind blowing surprise! I had not had the underbelly before, and having a babysitter I was heading to the steamshovel for a beer and lunch solo as a treat. But because they were closed I stayed optimistic and headed down the hill down to the RBC, I can settle for beer and pretzels i told myself, but the awesome barkeep let me know about them, and they even delivered! Picked a falafel wrap with a side of Mac & Cheese and both were fantastic! They were made with fresh ingredients and with care which was a nice touch. Michele was an absolute pleasure to speak to and the first person from Montreal, that I know of, that's not much of a Habs fan :)
