Subway — Restaurant in Rural Municipality of Springfield

I recently had some issues with an order being overcharged double meat cause I asked for pepperoni slices (.10c each, but charged 1.50 on-top of the pepperoni slices) and the employee had fought with me over the fact that it's double meat. I asked for a chicken Bacon extra pepperoni. I did not ask for double meat. After getting in contact with the owner for a refund he said he would look into it. Normally I'd shrug it off but I don't have alot of money lately so it really bothered me. Two months later and no response, even after leaving SEVERAL messages to get back to me with the manager, I learned he never intended to get back to me because SOMEONE ELSE made a bad review of the store.. So here I am now, Jim. might as well make it worth it and actually write that review, you spiteful man.

This is not a reflection of the staff - every single time I have gone in, the staff have been absolutely wonderful, so friendly, so kind. Which is mystifying, because they are treated like garbage by management.

I went in the other day and one poor soul was working on their own. There were 6 customers in line, people kept coming in, veggies were running low. But as the only employee, they couldn't restock supplies. They couldn't even go to the bathroom. But they continued to work themselves to the bone to keep the place running.

I understand it might be hard to get workers in a small town, but I think you'll find it's a lot easier if you offer a decent wage AND treat your current employees better. Imagine the applicants you would get if your employees were going around saying "my team is great and I make enough to pay my bills" compared to "I had to work 60 hours this...

This Subway has its good times and bad. Basically if you're hungry and looking to eat somewhat healthy. This is the best choice in Oakbank for a sandwich. Service is kinda meh, and they don't exactly take care of their line. Some of the things I have seen employees do has me just walking away from this establishment. Like don't pull veggies that fall off a sandwich into the waste trough back onto my sandwich! Sanitary practices and some know how from employees need to be greatly improved.
