Restaurant Rouge Burger Bar — Restaurant in Saguenay

This place came highly recommended, they even said it was the top five burgers they've ever eaten. So expectations were high coming into this restaurant. The decor is pretty nice, modern design with TVs showing the game and a bar at the back. And that's about all the good stuff about the restaurant. I ordered a bacon poutine entree (because they didn't have the first 2 options I wanted, the pork balls and the duck poutine) anyways, after I had my first bite, I was let down immediately. The sauce had the strangest taste (but a familiar one "best described as the BBQ kraft sauce with the Blue label from maxi" the rest of the dish was underwhelming. I then had the beef burger with cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, bacon and muchrooms. The bun it came it was very hard, it was falling apart when I tried to eat it. The sauce was very bland, and keep in mind I had ordered the spicy mayo chipotle. The meat the burger was very dry and together with the blend taste, it was a challenge to eat. As for the fries they were very salty, almost like they were marinated for a few days. I guess a redeeming point would be the the beer tasted pretty good. But when the bill came, it felt like I was robbed. I guess this place is called Rouge Burger, because you'll come out fuming after your dine in experience. We enjoyed our dinner last Friday, it was "Poutine Week" here and we had a gloriously delicious appetizer with the signature Poutine: homemade BBQ sauce, local cheese, locally raised pork sausage, over crispy fries, all delicious. Half-portion poutine for an appetizer is just fine. The fried calamaris were up to it too, crispy and tender. Homemade mayo with it, yummy. The burgers are plentiful, choosing among a wide range of meat, and wild games. J’aurais voulu mettre 0 étoile mais malheureusement on ne peut pas. Je remercie les serveurs d’avoir ruiner notre soirée. Manque de respect et considération total envers les clients. Deux serveurs viennent à notre table et nous menace sous prétexte qu’on à pas donner de pourboire mais à quel moment vous pouvez vous permettre d’agresser des jeunes étudiantes ouvertement comme ça. Je précise quand même qu’ils ont eu le courage de venir seulement quand nous étions seules dans le restaurant. Demander gentiment un pourboire d’accord mais venir agresser des jeunes filles avec avec ton effrayant et faire trembler la table est inconcevable. Sur le moment nous ne savions pas comment réagir c’est seulement avec du recul qu’on constate la gravité de la situation. Toi jeune serveur français qui nous a agressé, tu connais cette culture de pourboire depuis quand? C’est en France qu’on t’a appris ça? Commence déjà par avoir du respect envers les clients et après t’auras le mérite d’avoir un pourboire car tu ne mérite absolument rien d’autant plus que tu as eu des propos misogynes. Merci de boycotter ce restaurant le minimum est de vérifier le personnel. Je vous conseille de faire un tri conséquent. Car en effet, la nourriture était excellente tandis que les serveurs sont exécrables.
