La Grillade — Restaurant in Saint-Alphonse-de-Granby

We have been to this location a few times and we used to really enjoy it.

They used to have indoor activities for the kids, bounce houses, a dj etc. Now there is a tiny little slide in the middle of a huge empty space. You know one of those small plastic slides you would have in your kids play area?

Their maple "taffy" area used to show the machines etc and now there is a just a curtain and the taffy guy doesn't even talk to anyone.

The outdoor "petting zoo" now only has 3 small animals and nothing more.

There also USED to be a tour of the forest showing the maple tree lines etc. Either by horse or plow... neither were in sight this time.

Overall a disappointing experience... we will not be returning. Food was as expected, nothing...

Food is just bad. Omelette was hard, pancake felt under cooked, ham and pulled pork was dry, potatoes were average. Having no bacon and fruits at a brunch buffet is pretty sad too. You could go to a random buffet in your city and their brunch selection would have what they have and more, it's not worth the drive to come here. The taffy ain't special either.

The seating is pretty poor. You all sit in a row of large tables, like a food court. You don't get your own table and you have no word on where you sit.

Their small animal farm house only has goats. Which are cute, but I expected more.

Theres a bounce house area for kids, that was cute.

The waitresses were...

Wedding reception was the worst event I ever been in my life. Food was burned, for menu got something else with super low quality. Entrée dishes were removed from our table without reason and without being finished. No water, limited wine (*even if host paid and provided several bottles) and took the bottles half or 3/4 full. Lousy service for waiters. I am surprised as chefs and professional catering service do not work like this. I hope the Cabane a sucre service is better than the sad experience I had. Be exigent with these people. I feel very sorry for the couple that...
