La Belle Province — Restaurant in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Wow..a bad experience..showed up as they were about to lock up the door (3pm on dec 31-when sign said they close at 4pm). The guy told me "pour emporter seulement" I asked if he was closed but he said no..so i ordered a family special (hot dogs and fries) and it took some time as the fryer was off...we were waiting and then randomly were told "not everyone is as lucky as you, we have families too and we are here". He was also casually asking his colleague if he was going to the saq later...i wish they simply told me they were closed at 3 as i would of went to another lbp. Yes we are open but we'd rather not serve u is what it felt like. Made it feel like i had some sort of privilege to be at lbp at 3pm on a saturday... Completely disrespectful service. Go elsewhere. Hot dogs were ok but the fries were soggy and oily since being heated in cold oil. If you didnt want to serve me, just say your fkng closed!! The front door was locked after we came in at 3 and they made us leave through the back employee exit (full of cigarette butts-not very clean). Other people were trying to enter that were turned...

Went last Sunday to pick up some french fries. There was clearly an argument going on between two employees. The lady making the fries was banging the baskets in the deep fryer and giving the young man that makes the hotdogs a hard time. There were many customers in the restaurant and many at the counter waiting. It was quite uncomfortable.

Low and behold I find out my parents went earlier in the day and the argument had already started. Apparently the lady was even throwing french fries at the hotdog guy. Also, when my mom paid with her debit card something seemed to go wrong and she was asked to tap her card again. Later when she checked her bill there was a 7$ tip on the bill that my mom never added. My parents are in their 80's and this really disturbed them. They have lost my business and I won't hold back to tell others to avoid...

I used to think all the Belle province were the same. Same taste, same wait time, same menu... I got proven wrong.. It's my first time getting onion rings so undercooked I didn't finish the first one.. The rest of the order was easy enough to get right I mean steamed hotdogs aren't very hard to do so overall the order was fine... But I was looking forward to onion rings which ended up in the trash so... Very...
