McDonald's — Restaurant in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

The experience is great if you go during lunch hours while the daytime and regular manager is there. On the other hand if you show up during any other shift especially evenings and weekends you are treated horribly the food is often cold takes a long time and you can also get some condescending attitude from the manager.

Edit: used to be the best McDonald's, but ever since they rebuilt the site it's been horrible on the evening shift, the waiting times are ridiculous. I have seen multiple people request refunds because of waiting time. I have personally left items at the counter because it was taken too long and could not wait any longer. It's worst when you order indoors as if you go to the drive-thru they seem to have a little bit more of a focus on it.

There's a girl manager there she has no idea how to run a kitchen or motivate her staff. Just horrible... I've just ordered two simple burgers and I've been waiting...

This McDonalds was not to standard at all when it came to the fries. It seems that they uphold no standard. The fried were the worst over ever had, out of any McDonald’s I’ve seen. Quite the disappointment.

Original post in 2021. Sad to report my Oct 2025 experience was also awful. Glacially Slow service (more that 25mins for an egg McMuffin and potatoes), not great food prep, employees looked like they hated...

(2022) C'est vraaaaaiment un petit restaurant, rien à comparer aux autres de la ville. C'est certain qu'en temps de distanciation, il n'y a pas beaucoup de place assise disponible. C'est également une belle salle à manger, lumineuse et propre. Mais frites étaient beaucoup moins salé qu'habituellement et c'est parfait comme ça. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de stationnement disponible. (2023) Le carré est en transformation, le Pétro Canada a été démoli, le stationnement du McDo est un champ de mine temporaire. Je ne sais pas pourquoi ils n'ont pas retiré le dépanneur pour agrandir le resto!! (2024) J'ai vraaaaaaaaaiment hâte que le stationnement soit accessible en voiture, pas uniquement en motocross!! Ooooooooh, je crois que le dépanneur fera partie de l'agrandissement du resto.. wooooow! C'est une bonne chose, les employés bruyants et tapageurs occupaient le trois quart des tables pendant.. leur quart! (2025) Oooooooh! La belle ambiance d'un McDo est de retour! Enfiiiiiiiiin le pavage du stationnement est refait et nous avons accès à une salle-à-manger digne de ce nom.
