Les Frères Sushi — Restaurant in Saint-Lambert

We ask for menus. They gave us a flyer menu. On the menus the price is written $12 to $16 for the poke bowl (Price varies between $12 to $16 for the poke bowls on the printed menu, which is already expensive as it is). We ordered 2 bowls of $12 on the menu. Price should be $24 plus taxes.

Didn't tell us ANYTHING at all that prices are no longer that price on the flyer. When it's time to pay, price is $16 each. A JUMP OF $8. ALL WITHOUT A WARNING AFTER WE WAITED FOR THE ORDER.

VERY VERY VERY DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL. DON'T COME HERE! FOOD QUALITY IS SO SO only. Not WORTH THE PRICE.

When asked about the price different from the menus, they said price went up since paper was printed. Didn't tell customers about it when order was confirmed. AND ALSO NOT CHANGED ON THE FLYER.

MY GOD! The staff didn't even GET A CLUE when we looked upset!

I mean, if you open a restaurant, YOU CANT EVEN AFFORD TO REPRINT THE FLYERS TO REFLECT THE CURRENT PRICE?! Increasing the price by 33.33% IS A LOT in 1 go! HOW MANY YEARS AGO was this flyer??

Isn't customer satisfaction and honest advertising more important than the money you try to save to print a flyer???

PORTIONS are SMALL also! NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

WE WERE COMPLETELY NOT OKAY WITH IT. BUT THEY ALREADY MADE THE FOOD AND THE PEOPLE TOLD US LAST MINUTE, AND WE HAD THE OPTION OF REFUSING THE FOOD AND WASTE THE FOOD, BUT MY COLLEAGUE SAID TO LET GO AND PAY instead. So we paid! BUT WE COMPLETELY FEEL TRAPPED. VERY DISHONEST merchant!!

There is ABSOLUTELY NO MISUNDERSTANDING about this MERCHANT CHARGING us close to $10 extra LAST MINUTE. If you were that sorry, they would not have insisted when we paid!

Overall good sushi, but beware pictures are far from what you get. I had lobster gunkan. it came as 2 futomaki sized sushi for 16$! A complete rip-off! I also ordered spicy scallop monomaki, turns out the scallop in the sushi is so tiny you can’t even find it. It’s lost in a sea of tempura. Finally, I had poke bowl with salmon. It says in the description « generous portion of seared salmon », which is just marketing, since the portion was quite small. Although their pokebowls are a bit more expensive than some other places, I really enjoyed the great variety of toppings and the balance between rice, vegetables and proteins. The quality of the ingredients are pretty fresh too. The only thing that was missing for me was the flexibility in the choices in their menu. Even though they have a lot of proteins to pick from, we couldn't really choose the vegetable toppings or the sauce. I really enjoyed what they have set up, but it'll get boring quickly if we can't switch it up from time to time...
