An Unforgettable Culinary Gem on the South Shore – Restaurant Limousine
Hands down, the most extraordinary dining experience I’ve had on the South Shore to date. Restaurant Limousine is more than a restaurant—it’s a revelation. Chef-owner Laurent Dagenais has created something truly special: a place where every plate tells a story, every flavor sings, and every detail—from the service to the setting—is tuned to perfection.
From the very first bite to the final spoonful, every dish was executed with thought, passion, and precision. The balance of flavors, the creativity of the menu, the quality of ingredients—it was nothing short of masterful. This is not just great food; this is gastronomy with heart.
The staff? Impeccable. Warm, attentive, knowledgeable—never overbearing, always just right. It’s rare to feel so genuinely taken care of without the experience ever feeling forced. You can tell this team cares—and that makes all the difference.
Restaurant Limousine doesn’t just raise the bar for the South Shore—it quietly, confidently redefines it. If you’re lucky enough to get a table, don’t hesitate. Go. Savor. And remember it, because it’s one of those rare places you’ll talk about for a long time after the last glass is empty.
Bravo, Chef Dagenais. This is what culinary dreams look like when they...
Read moreWe visited Limousine yesterday, and to be honest, I think the place is a bit overrated. Perhaps on the South Shore there aren’t many standout restaurants like in Montreal, which might explain the high ratings — but in terms of food quality, it was just very average. On the positive side, the service was great. Our waitress was attentive and professional, which we really appreciated. However, the food didn’t live up to the hype. We ordered the shrimp cocktail as a starter, but what we got were simply cold shrimp on ice with a small dipping sauce. A proper shrimp cocktail usually includes other ingredients, often in a creamy or tangy sauce — this felt more like “shrimp on ice” than an actual cocktail, especially considering the price. The gnocchi were actually well made and tasted good. But the green peas that came with them were a real disappointment — they were bland and poorly prepared. Honestly, a chef should taste the ingredients before plating; they added nothing to the dish and actually took away from the overall experience. Dessert was okay, but again, nothing memorable.
Overall, I’d give it 1 star. Not a terrible experience, but certainly not as impressive as the reviews suggest. Would I go back?...
Read moreWe came here for my wife's birthday, and it did NOT disappoint. This was some of the best food I've ever put into my mouth. Every dish was seasoned to perfection, and presented beautifully.
Service was incredible and we felt very well taken care of. Between our two barmen and our sommelier, all of our questions were answered and they helped steer our way into one of the best meals we've ever had.
Shout-out to Joe and Mika, you guys really ensured we had a night to remember. Thank you very much for the complimentary drinks/shooters that you offered throughout our meal, it was a very nice added touch that elevated our experience.
My only negative comment is that it was very loud inside, making it a bit difficult to have a conversation. But the rest more than certainly made up for it.
We will be back! This is a hidden gem off island, well worth the travel time if you're...
