Went to Le Blue this past Sunday (June 8) at 2:30 in the afternoon. We asked the waitress if we could sit outside under the big umbrella as we would be ordering ice cream, which we were told was fine. After 20+ minutes a waiter (potentially the manager) finally came outside, only to tell us we could not sit there, as it was only reserved for people ordering food (not ice cream). He said we would have to change places for the other seats on the patio which were not covered by the umbrella. We had a 1 month old, a 3 year old, 4 seniors in their 70's and 80's, and my wife and I. We expressed why we can't sit directly in the sun, and asked if we could swing the umbrella to cover the other seats. He quickly said no, and was completely rude and unapologetic. I tried explaining again why the group we were with could not sit directly in the sun and he just kept saying the seats we were in were not for the ice cream shop. Mind you there was only ONE person in that "food" section, and nobody else waiting to sit there. The fact it was 2:30 in the afternoon and not a lunch rush, you'd think they'd be more accommodating if this is their rule. We gave up trying to reason with him and tried inside. Despite there being numerous bench tables available, the tables were still covered with leftover food from previous patrons. We were told we could sit at the bar if we wanted. Again, complete disregard for the group we were with. We gave up and left. This waiter was not an inexperienced teenager, he was in his 40's or 50's (again, potentially the manager). The complete incompetence and disregard displayed by the employees was astonishing and we will never return, and will share our experience to ensure others are aware of what to expect. We took our business down the street to another establishment and it was exactly what we were looking for. On our walk back an hour later, the patio at Le Blue was still completely empty so kudos to this waiter for losing business not only for the day, but for the...
Read moreI have been a customer of Le Blue for at least 3 years and on Friday we received a very bad service, the worst! The attitude of the waitress (who looked like a manager) because she was dressed differently, a rude, pedantic, annoying attitude all the time. 15 minutes to take our order, 30 minutes to take our food and in the middle of the meal, when we literally had half of the pizza still available, she asked us if she could take it away? Really? When they left us the knives to cut the pizza the lady threw them on the table. Also when it was time to order dessert, it took them another 30 minutes to bring it to us, and I am not counting the extra 15 minutes it took to take our dessert order. Of course, her face changed when it was time for the bill, where she made it clear that we HAD TO LEAVE PROPINA! Otherwise she was going to have to increase the bill, because tipping is REQUIRED in that establishment. I understand that they had a corporate event that day, but that is no excuse for poor service and rudeness. First and last time I eat at Le Blue de Saint Lambert, it is a completely different face than Le Blue de Longueuil. Sad to see people working and ruining the excellent image of a family restaurant that used to...
Read moreThe place could easily be a five-star location, but it falls short when it comes to the taste of the food; the décor and the presentation are fantastic.
The staff is super friendly and provides a warm welcome.
The menu is as colourful as the restaurant, with many choices. We chose the blue burger đ that came with delicious fries and mayo; it looked cool but was missing something to elevate our taste buds.
We also took the pizza, which transferred vibes of Italian and American-style pizza. The sauce is below average and is acidic. The low point, unfortunately, was the pizza dough; it was fully cooked and lowered the whole experience.
The milkshakes are great and tasty and are well-balanced in sweetness.
Another item the location may need to work on is the time it takes to serve us. While the milkshakes came quickly, the burger took quite a while, and we had the time to eat the fries and start the burger before the pizza arrived.
Finally, something that bothered me was that we were asked to pay in advance, meaning we also had to tip in advance. As a result, we feel that staff could feel like they don't need to make any...
