La Pataterie — Restaurant in Saint-Lazare

Slowest fast food in town.

I’ve been coming here about once per month since it opened. It’s always been exactly as expected mediocre and greasy but that’s the game they are in.

However, recently it’s just been slipping.

This evening I went, waited 20 minutes for a fry and poutine. Order was taken right away, saw the poutine made, boxed closed, just waiting on the French fry and ready to go.

5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes…nothing. I rarely ever say anything in these cases but this is way too long. 17 minutes, I go to the owner, “hey, just wanted to check in on my order…”

Immediately attitude and ultra defensive. Asks for my name, checks the orders, oh you’re up next buddy why are you complaining? Another 5 minutes pass and he hands me my order with some extra attitude.

I tell him, I get it, but that poutine you just gave me has been sitting there for over 20 minutes while I wait for a French fry. It doesn’t make sense. No acknowledging the issue, no apology, just attitude.

As I’m half way out the door with my order, He shouts out to me to offer to refund me some money, I decline. He can keep this one, he just won’t get my money next time.

The issue: the owner himself was the guy manning the fryers, not the employees. Clearly a mistake that he made, no one to blame but himself and no accountability.

Poor management and poor service. Restaurants like this survive on a lack of competition. If a competitor opened up, they’d be out of...

Hours say 530AM through 8PM, 6 days a week! Closed on Mondays! Drove 35mins to get nice Belle Province breakfast... Arrived to fi d the restaurant CLOSED and it isn't a Belle Proivince!!! It would be nice if these establishments would update their pages to reflect reality so customers who. Want to spend their hard earned money with them, can actually do so!!! The hours posted are misleading and not as listed here in biz page! Now have to find another spot for food before breakfast hours are over! Thanks so much "LA PATATERIE"!!! Will NOT be returning and suggest others make sure opened before make the trip which is out of the way and beaten path! Not too pleased to...

Wow walked in at noon Saturday February 22,2025. No hello no smiles on any of the 4 persons staff working. Gave our order in and waited. 1 trio number one 2 hot dogs and fries and a number 9 chicken pita souvlaki. And fries. The fries are little pieces literally you need a fork to eat your fries. And they taste of old oil or lard. Very horrible taste. The rest was ok. The guy on the line with a tattoo on the neck goes to the back room and starts talking loud and you can hear him out at the tables. He’s swearing in French. We couldn’t believe it. I won’t be recommending this...
