Unfortunately, we were disappointed from our last visit where it was 5 stars across the board. Firstly, we requested seating for 7pm and were advised that time slot was not available but 7:30pm was available and we accepted. On the same day of reservation was messaged that there was a cancelation and original request time was available now and if we wanted original time. We accepted once again. We were really looking forward to enjoy our experience and food as last time. Firstly, when we arrived the restaurant was not packed and didn't understand why our first time was refused as there was plenty of seating. Onion soup was lacking cheese and seemed smaller than last time. Calamari was a smaller portion than the customers beside us and overcooked and oily. The maple themed tomahawk pork chop was a bit dry and only 4 asparagus on the plate. Last time there was at least 9 as per photo taken the previous visit. We also ordered pasta Gigi, which is one our favorite pasta dishes. For the price of $30, we were surprised as the portion was small. It was more of a kid size plate. It was lacking a bit of flavor and not one our favorite. Also where we were seated, there was a vent at our feet and constant cold air coming out making it uncomfortable. Sorry for this review but the ball was dropped on this visit. Hopefully, the food quality and experience returns to how it was on our...
Read moreWhile the chef is well-trained, as his vanity wall at the entrance can attest to, the choice and quality of ingredients are not what one would expect. Drinks and choice of alcohol were limited, according to the hostess. No choice of vodka, no choice of bottled water. The acoustics make the restaurant very loud and it’s difficult to maintain conversations. Unfortunately the service does not get much better, as the hostess refuses to speak English and makes guests feel unwelcome in our own town. She insisted on being present throughout service, which was unnecessary considering her refusal to accommodate us. We expect much more from a business that decides to open in our community. Especially one that charges us $100 per person.
Response to the owner: thank you for expressing your regret for our unfortunate experiences. A little correction: the English are found in England. We are...
Read moreWe visited rebel bistro on Friday and the restaurant was busy enough which is to be expected at this restaurant as it always is busy. We arrived for our reservation at 6;45 pm and we seated. I ordered as a drink a gin martini which is priced at 14$. The drink arrived in a miniature martini glass that had about two sips in it. I asked jokingly to the waitress, are you serious? See photo. 14$ for a miniature kids martini? She just said yes sir, that’s how it’s it made. I went back inside where I made a polite complaint about the drink and was told , I’ll make you another one. We then proceeded to order our entree. After an hour and a half, we still had not received our entree. We were tired of waiting and cancelled our entree which wasent even being prepared yet. This is our second not so good experience and as much as I would like to encourage local businesses, I will not be back again...
