Toujours Mikes — Restaurant in Saint-Sauveur

Not the first time I've been to Mike's both in Ontario and Quebec but this place in Saint Sauveur definitely will never see me again. I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my 80 dollar dinner (yes 80 for 2 people) and saw through the kitchen window one of the cooks handling a pre-packaged bag of some sort of tomato sauce so right away I know there's very little fresh food here. Almost no one in the restaurant so I should have figured out it was not a popular place. The female server was very courteous and actually helped bring my meal to my vehicle. Upon getting into my overpriced meal, I see that my pizza barely had any toppings on it and it wasn't hard to tell that the green peppers weren't even cooked so speed cook it is! The food was saltly and tasteless, the crust on my pizza was thinner than a piece of paper when I specifically mentioned on the online order I didn't want thin crust. The cheese in the stuffed crust was some sort of edible oil product that had the consistency of a car tire. The cake my wife treated herself to was taken out of a box (again no fresh food here) and was smashed into a take out container. I'd have to say all in all, the worst experience by far of any restaurant I've been to in a couple of years. Not sure why this place...

Unfortunately, my first experience here was very disappointing. I arrive and there is no other clients. The waitress was professional and served me a coffee and took my order. I put 2 creams and a milk, I tookva sip and it is horrible. Bitter and very unpleasant. I get up and return it. She makes me a fresh pot, and admits it was an old batch and the bottom of the pot. GROSS 😝. I ORDER THE BRUNCH PLATE, WOW the potatoes have been refried 2-3 times so hard my fork breaks them. The tomatoes were cut a few days ago because they have been exposed to the air and are dry, my poached eggs were so small, you could swear they were pigeon eggs. The meats were over cooked and dry, the beans cold. The only good thing on the plate was the crepe with real maple syrup. I am a chef and restaurant consultant by trade, and Unfortunately if the food reflex the manage and staff I think your restaurant chain will not see record sales here. It's Unfortunate because I have always loved Mike's but this place I am sure not to...

Pizza was kind of ok, but overpriced for what you get. Cheese in the stuffed crust not even melted, definetly not worth it. Duo salmon-linguine was mostly pasta drowned in sauce. Fried chicken is heavy on the batter, over fried and very meh. Service was poor. We weren’t offered or given the drink and desert included with kids meal, or even a regular glass for the soft drinks. « Here’s your can, barely cold and a garbage paper straw… » Miserable experience all around, but that seems to be the case with a lot of family-style restaurants you go to these days: overpriced terrible food with miserable...
