Came in for a quick bite with my 2 kids just to have that we are finally able to eat at the restaurant feeling again. Was going to keep it simple and get 2 bowls of wonton soup for the kids accompanied with some appetizers and some off the a la carte menu for myself. It was far from a quick bite. They only offered the buffet menu dining in. I'm thinking under an hour and we done... Nope. Now yes we're still dealing with the Covid. But I figured they're local and recently reopened after dealing with a fire and I wanted to support a local restaurant. I wasn't expecting long waits in between dishes to be served as the food comes straight from the kitchen after you mark the number of dishes you wish to eat on a paper menu the server comes to retrieve. There is no self serve buffet table. From what I understand will remain closed for an undetermined period of time. The food was served fresh and it was very delicious for what it was. I had a wonton soup, fried rice, shanghai shrimp, general tao, lemon shrimp, garlic broccoli, 2 egg rolls, and sesame balls. Prepare yourself to be extra patient when you dine in is all I'm saying. I was there for lunch on a Sunday with very few people in the restaurant. Take out was quite popular though. And I have to say the staff greeted you with a smile and were friendly. My only gripe with this being my 1st experience dining in here is the amount of time spent sitting waiting. Next time it's delivery or take out as I would normally do. Would I recommend. Yes. As that simple take it for what it is chinese buffet menu food. If you're looking for the true Chinese food experience well then there's China Town or Brossard...
Read moreWe ordered a couple days ago in hopes of finding a good Chinese food restaurant, and although I wasn’t expecting top quality from such a place I figured it would be a decent place to get quick Chinese buffet style combos. Our experience with the food here was quite unsatisfactory. The food quality is quite poor, the Tao chicken had too much batter and little meat. The taste was so far from being authentic that we were not able to finish the meal. The look, smell and texture is off putting and even the wonton soups tasted off. The wontons, either in the soup and in the peanut butter sauce had little or no meat inside and was obviously done in haste in order to fulfill large orders. The peanut butter sauce was dark and left little to desire. Szechuan shrimp bowl had 3 shrimps and the rest was vegetables, and although the taste was OK, the shrimp were overcooked or precooked and cooked over again. The vegetables were decent but obviously this is merely a side. I can say that service at the takeout counter was quick and efficient when ordering beforehand due to COVID and restrictions but the food is a no go for us. We do not recommend this to anyone who appreciates a good meal and wishes to savour good food without having to scarf it down as a simple need...
