La Demande Générale Valleyfield Bistro & Buvette — Restaurant in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield

Overall ok experience. The location is nice and concept is fun but the way the tables are setup is a bit weird and it was very hot. Everyone is nice but service is extremely slow. They were out of oysters at 6pm which i thought was a bit weird since they open at 5pm. The portion of tartar you get for the "meal" option at almost 40$ is extremely small and has no taste. The burger was amazing and juicy though. It felt like there was missing something or someone in the kitchen since the table of 4 next to us took an hour to receive their entrees. I will try another restaurant next time...

This location has had many bars and restaurants in the past, this one is shaping up to be my favorite so far. The new owners have breathed some fresh life into this old church with a wonderful menu and great service. New ideas for old favorites like their Grilled Ceasar salad is what sets them apart. The owners are really trying to make this a special spot in the area, and from my 3 previous visits I'd say they succeeded. My favorites are the Bavette and the catch of the day has been spectacular. Don't forget the cocktails!! And superb wines as well. Definitely...

Not impressed at all. My friend and I had a reservation for dinner, and even though there were many empty tables, the server put us at the top of the stairs, with no room to move and not even enough room on the table for our bottle of wine. We asked if we could get another table, but we were told that everything was reserved... Which I highly doubt because no one showed up. The food was ok, but nothing special. We asked what was the restaurant's best dish and the server read the whole menu. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Staff was not friendly, nor pleasant. Won't return...
