I was recently in town for a few days with a friend and her daughter, who has celiac disease. Unfortunately none of us speak French, and staff in many restaurants we tried to visit spoke limited English, which made finding gluten-free options very challenging. Until we arrived at Lotus. The staff were amazing and were able to provide knowledge & assurance of what dishes were gluten-free (most on the menu, actually). We each thoroughly enjoyed our meals, that were full of a great selection of fresh veggies, tender meat and either rice or noodles, all cooked to perfection. It was so good we returned for dinner the next night too. Prices were quite reasonable as well. Read moreI was very dissapointed. The place is always packed so I thought it would be amazing! Anyways, I went in to order take out. The guy was very rude and the bathroom was unsanitary, no soap. I shudder to think of the employees using it and not washing their hands properly. My food was very bad. I ordered the peanut sauce chicken with mushrooms and crispy spinach. Read moreIncredible food without a doubt. I'm never disappointed. However I usually go elsewhere for the following reasons. It is ridiculously expensive for what it is. There are cheaper alternatives that are as good all over the city. The shop close several month during the winter, and is jammed packed during the summer and I really mean packed.
