If i could give negative stars I would because I have never experienced such HORRIBLE customer service and an incredibly RUDE waiter. My family and I were visiting from Ontario because I’ve always wanted to see Montréal. The rest of my trip was great but this place left a rotten taste in my mouth. I began speaking to the waiter in french as I’m the only one who knows french amongst my family, my parents don’t. So i asked for a table for 3 people but my parents interrupted me and began speaking to the waiter in English. In that moment, the waiter tells us that the kitchen was closed. It was around 9:13 pm. Now every restaurant has it’s kitchen hours, but in the same breath I see the waiter on his way to serve fries to a french speaking family that was sitting across the other side of the patio where we tried to sit. None of the tables were cleaned, we tried to sit at the least dirtiest table. We did tell the waiter we’d stay for drinks as that was the only thing available, however the waiter did not serve us AT ALL. In fact, he kept walking back and fourth, in and out of the patio, serving that same french speaking family, pretending that we’re not even there. It was ridiculous, and it feels incredibly racist. I myself, am not completely fluent, but i know enough to communicate and keep a conversation and it is obvious by the way i speak french that i’m not québécois. He didn’t even clean the table for us when we sat down. Absolutely unacceptable. He had strawy, frizzy long brown hair with an unkept beard and glasses. I don’t know why there’s such discrimination towards non french speaking people, but you work in customer service. You absolutely cannot treat customers that way no matter where they are from. I myself work in customer service so I know exactly what I’m talking about. The pits of hell have better customer service than...
Read moreBeing generous as I give two stars. The food is good, although somewhat overpriced as most pubs are.
The reason I'm giving a poor review is because of the service itself. While the restaurant had a high afflux of people and I understand the slower wait time, that itself is not the problem.
We had yet to even be given menus and the waitress was already seen off to the side drinking her redbull and laughing away. We had to ask another waitress to bring us the aforementionned menus. Then wave her so she would actually come take our order.
Then, as we waited for further service (drinks, packing leftovers), we witnessed her on another customers' table, talking and laughing for a good five minutes. We yet again had to ask another waitress for service.
The girl was then surprised to see her tip lowered (still 10%, mind you), even after I explained my reasons, calling me cheap, straight off laughing in my face and immediatly running off to tell her coworkers in the viccinity. Even one of her coworkers told me simply to "stop talking".
I don't think I was in any wrong to express my displeasure (as she had asked to know herself), and yet she, alongside her coworkers, was extremely impolite about it.
Highly unprofessionnal.
Will not...
Read moreI have been to this pub/restaurant a few time. I have always found the food to be tasty and a fair sized portion. The staff are always friendly and efficient and the restaurant is always clean. There is ample seating inside and a seasonal patio at the front (albeit on a busy roadway). There is plenty of parking, The menu is extensive with seasonal specials. I found it busy at lunch and after work and absolutely hopping if Les Canadiens have a game on the TV. There are several large scree TV's around the inside for sports viewing. Tasty food served with a smile at a fair price in a clean setting....
