Victory Buffet — Restaurant in Sarnia

First time ordering out from Victory buffet, as the previous times before were eat in. This order was for New Years Eve and I spent 150.00 for a large volume of food, as the reviews and past experience seemed worth it. I ordered my food at 5:05 pm with a guaranteed pick up for 95 minutes from that, which would be 6:40pm. Upon grabbing our food, the receipt showed ready for 6:10pm. We were able to finally get our food at 7:35pm.

Whether it was 55 minutes or 1 hour and 25 minutes, the service was absolutely abhorrent. No notice, no update, just mass chaos and confusion. I was given 8.00 off for the major inconvenience, which was laughable, and shows the restaurant cares more about money, than customer satisfaction.

The food itself was hot, fresh, and tasty, with 0 complaints. The leftovers were great as well when we heated them up. I must say, the Pad Thai had not much flavour or spice to it at all, but that's the only complaint I have with the food.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend picking up food from here after this horrendous experience. Don't think I'll be back for awhile either until the restaurant has a better pick up...

Who needs a Mandarin when you have Victory Buffet. Our family went on a Saturday at 6:00 pm, place was pretty full, but we were greeted and seated immediately. The place smelled great, and the buffet in appearance was a match for any Mandarin. Many many choices from multiple chicken, beef, fish, vegetable dishes, to a salad, and fruit bar, dessert bar, and a sushi bar. Everything was hot and fresh, all of us took samples of about 15 different items each, and it tasted great. Green tea all around to complete the meal, too bad they did not have oolong tea, but no one is perfect, but this restaurant is pretty close. Update - We have now dined here 5 times in 3 months (weekends, and weekdays), each time food is fresh, hot and so many choices. Staff is always friendly. I use to go here with my family of 4 in total and was never really impressed with their food but the price was ok and thats the reason we came back but on July 6th 2019 we went there again and the food seemed not so fresh and I told my wife that and she agreed we were still eating our main course and they brought us our bill I thought wow that's a nice way of saying get out we had not even had desert yet we felt really rushed and the place was empty so we finished and went to pay and that's when I was really disappointed to find the same bill that use to be in the $40s had gone to $87.60 my kids are 3 and 6 I am never going there again so disappointed and the food is a mush less quality it was that day at least and the price doubled shame on u guys shame on u!!
