As connoisseurs of the finest dining experiences, our recent visit to Venice House Traditional Grill in Saskatoon, SK, left us utterly captivated. From the moment we walked through the door, it was clear that this establishment is a true gem, offering an impeccable fusion of exceptional steaks, exquisite red wine, top-notch service, and an ambiance that transports you to a world of culinary excellence. The atmosphere at Venice House Traditional Grill is a harmonious blend of classic elegance and modern sophistication. The warm and inviting lighting, coupled with tasteful decor that pays homage to both Italian heritage and steakhouse tradition, creates an ambiance that's both intimate and celebratory. The cozy seating arrangements, combined with the soft hum of conversations, set the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening. The service at Venice House is an embodiment of hospitality at its finest. From the moment we were greeted by the attentive staff to the moment we left, we felt like honored guests. The servers' extensive knowledge of the menu and their ability to guide us through the wine list showcased their dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience. They effortlessly struck a balance between being attentive and giving us the space to savor each moment. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the steak. Venice House Traditional Grill has perfected the art of steak preparation to an unparalleled degree. The menu boasts a selection of prime cuts, expertly aged and grilled to perfection. Our Ribeye steak, cooked to the precise level of doneness we requested, was a symphony of flavor and tenderness. The outer sear gave way to a juicy and succulent interior, showcasing the craftsmanship of the chefs who clearly take immense pride in their creations. Pairing our steak with a bold and velvety red wine was an experience that elevated our culinary journey. The restaurant's wine list is a testament to their commitment to offering a well-curated selection that complements the menu. Our chosen red wine not only enhanced the flavors of the steak but also added an additional layer of richness to the overall dining experience. As we savored each bite of our steak and sipped our wine, we couldn't help but appreciate the careful attention to detail that Venice House Traditional Grill puts into every aspect of their offerings. It's a place where the art of steak is celebrated, and each dish is a masterpiece crafted with passion and expertise. In every sense, our visit to Venice House Traditional Grill was an experience to remember. It's a place where outstanding cuisine, impeccable service, and an inviting ambiance converge to create a dining experience that's nothing short of exceptional. For those seeking the finest steak, the most exquisite red wine, and a dining journey that lingers in your memory, Venice House Traditional Grill is an absolute must-visit destination in Saskatoon, SK.

We came to Venice House for their event room for a family reunion. The parking situation is basically street parking. We got free parking but I think depending on the time of day and day of the week it’s paid. Be mindful of this per signage. The restaurant is older in appearance and very much homestyle in nature. They seem to have a bit of everything and no specialty items to stand out for. The event room is large, the whole place seems to need some remodeling. Older carpets and the walls seem to be in need of a deep clean (unless the matte appearing smudges along the upper area is intentional?). We had water spaced out and utensils at the ready. We arrived at different times which lead to orders being taken at different times and food arriving in a similar fashion. I imagine this helped staff keep from being overwhelmed but it was a bit difficult to know when to anticipate our food. The staff was lacking- where we would’ve wanted more drinks to order they weren’t around enough or available to order more and we weren’t in the business of chasing them outside of the event room. Staff was friendly and did their best but it was a really odd disjointed experience for the sake of the restaurant. I had the calzone and the Cesar salad meal option. The salad was really good- drenched in dressing and it was well done. The calzone was interesting. I had ordered no onions but in the whole busy ordeal that was missed. Not a big deal. I thought it would’ve been a deep fried calzone but it was baked and had openings to see the interior. The crust was nice- a mix of soft and crispy where it needs to be. It was cooked throughout. There wasn’t an overwhelming amount of one ingredient over the other. The pizza sauce was on the sweeter side which wasn’t my favourite. It was decent- but not the place I’d go for pizza or calzones if I had a craving. It did not make for tasty leftovers. All in all- I would not return here specifically to eat. I would if they had another family reunion event here but I would not be coming for the food. The staff did the best they could and managed clean up well. They also stayed organized in our orders and payments which was nice. Very friendly. I just think there’s room for improvement.

First time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was good and quiet. The host/server was very nice. It was a good experience and I recommend this place. There are so many options in the menu, and we ordered the boneless ribs and the calzone. The calzone was amazing, so delicious. Long time that I hadn't had a calzone like that. Highly recommended, you should try it when you go there. It comes with a toast and a caesar salad. The ribs were good, but a little bit dried. If you want to try something different you can go to this place. We definitely will go back there to try other options from the menu and of course to get the fabulous calzone that they offer there. Edited. We went back and had the cranberry and chicken quesadilla, and the calzone and the pizza toast. Highly recommended. It was so good. Loved that now they have the menus in a paper that is not reusable and safe for people. #buylocal #supportlocalbusinesses

Worst customer service ever!!

First off, my family and I have been going to this restaurant for OVER 30 years!

We’ve ordered takeout from here numerous times and they always seem to forget something - dip, salad, garlic toast, etc. We live on the opposite side of the city so normally we’ve just sucked it up and not bothered to call to say anything because it’s too far to drive back to pick up what they’ve forgotten.

This last take out order put me over the edge. My husband specifically called back a second time to tell them to MAKE SURE the dill dip was in the bag and they assured him it WAS. Get home and of course NO DILL DIP for the chicken fingers. So we’re left to eat dry hard crusty chicken fingers. I called to let them know and they said they can credit us back “a dollar” if we want to drive across the city for our refund otherwise there’s “nothing they can do”. Wow a whole dollar, how generous 🙄

It wasn’t about the money, it’s the fact that they cannot figure out how to properly package a to-go order and ALWAYS forget something every time which is a huge inconvenience and upsetting when you’re paying for something and not getting it.

I asked to talk to a manager and another girl came on the phone saying the manager isn’t in and they can get someone to call me back the next day. Shocker no one called me back!

They really don’t care about their customers. Like I said I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 30 years but I’m definitely not going back.

I try to support local businesses but why bother when they can’t be bothered to provide good customer service? Tried out the Cave last weekend so I think that will be our new go to spot for Greek food from now on. PLUS their pizza is actually...
