Pita Pit — Restaurant in Saugeen Shores

I was a regular at this Pita Pit until last week's interaction with either the manager or owner (he didn't identify himself). He had an issue with the orders that I placed online. My orders varied in terms of pita types and number. The staff were friendly and quickly recognized me when I walked in to pick up my orders.

After I had picked up my most recent (and last) order and was checking the bag as I was walking out (as it has happened that items have been forgotten), the manager/owner came out from the back shouting "excuse me, excuse me ma'am." I thought this was because they had forgot to include the bag of chips, however this was not that case. Instead, he told me I was no longer allowed to order kids meals, despite not not knowing who I was ordering the food for. This is especially frustrating because I often also ordered a regular pita for myself when placing an order.

Sadly, this is one of few options for a healthy children's meal. I would rather buy this than a happy meal, but doubt McDonald's would ever to tell me that I couldn't order the latter.

I ordered two SOUVLAKI CHICKEN pitas and was given two SHAWARMA chicken pitas instead which I didnt find out until I was having lunch at work hours later.

The coating/sauce on the chicken is absolutely horrid, and definitely not what I asked for.

I actually used to eat and enjoy the shawarma pita months ago, but recently they changed the chicken seasoning/sauce and its now genuinely one of the most disgusting things I've ever tasted in my life. Tastes like burnt brown sugar and ashtray.

Next time you don't hear a customer correctly, ask them again - don't assume and force them to eat this sad excuse for a 'shawarma'.

And this place has the audacity to ask for a tip at payment, before even making your wrap.

The two guys who worked during the day Saturday July 13th need training: They are not what pita pit franchise is about. I was shocked at their lack of customer service and lack of communication skills. The guy making the pitas literally chose 2-4 pieces of ingredients and threw it into the pita in an angry way. Then I’d say “can you please add more?” And he’d again choose tiny portions and throw it into the pita aggressively. I asked for the owners phone number or email from the other guy working and he basically said no. So these 2 guys are there representing pita pit franchise in a low form.
