If I could leave zero stars, I would.
Tonightās experience at this Starbucks was not just disappointing, it was insulting.
We called just before closing to place a quick order over the phone, hoping to ease the process and avoid holding up staff at the end of their shift. We were literally two minutes away. Instead of a simple yes or no, the employee who answered the phone gave us unnecessary pushback, assuming that weād not make it in time, as if she were the judge of our ability to arrive within minutes. We assured her we were right around the corner, and asked again politely to place a quick order. Her response? Dismissive, rude, and ultimately, she hung up on us.
Mind you, this was not just any employee. This was THE store manager.
She ended the call by saying, If the doors are unlocked when you get here, weāll serve you. So we arrived, on time, exactly as promised, only to find the doors already locked before closing. To add insult to injury, the same manager we spoke to looked right at us through the glass and grinned. No apology. No attempt to make it right. Just arrogance and a total lack of respect for paying customers.
We are honestly shocked. When a manager, the person responsible for upholding service standards and setting an example for staff, behaves like this, itās a reflection of a seriously broken culture at this location despite the other employees having a humbler attitude, they seem anxious when on the same floor as her showing me that she isnāt a good manager who is meant to be a good leader.
This wasnāt just bad service, it was a deliberate effort to push customers away and avoid accountability.
I strongly recommend avoiding this branch. Until thereās a change in leadership or training, itās clear this Starbucks does not value its customers, or their time, money, or dignity. Destroyed the reputation of what Starbucks should be.
To add one more point an elderly woman struggling to walk came about a minute after us and tried entering the store to find its locked. Then knocked the window to get the attention of an employee. She caught the attention of an employee who looked back for the managers decision he then passed the information along and shook his head. Understand that this location recently changed their hours from 9:00pm to 8:00pm. So to compensate for local customers who didnāt realize the hours changed they should be allowed to be taken care of. She then sat down to catch her breath without what she came for.
Have a blessed day, I hope this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCalled to try to order because we knew weād be cutting it close to close and wanted to make the job easier, just come in pickup and pay. The manager said they donāt take orders over the phone and that she doubted weād make it before she locked the door, then proceeded to hang up on me! We arrived 2 minutes before close and the door had been locked early as she knew weād try to come. She laughed at us when we tried to open the door! An elderly lady struggling to walk tried to get a coffee just after us and the manager told the other employee no to getting her a coffee. This was after just changing hours to close an hour earlier as well. Canāt believe a STARBUCKS manager would behave this petty. The regular crew employees are very kind and usually seem anxious when working while the manager is on the floor, and those less anxious seem frustrated. This blonde/grey haired thicker female manager always has an attitude when taking orders, and waiting at the drive through window. The ambience would be much better if they had a more positive, professional manager, which Starbucks is known for. This location gives Starbucks a bad rep. I will be driving to the open location in Owen Sound and will be going there from now on because I donāt want to support this unhealthy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the worst Starbucks Iāve ever been to. Generally the franchise is consistent with the products they offer and with making a quality product but this location apparently has their own rules?
First, the hours are ridiculous, the service is slow and the service is sub-par at best compared to other locations. Iām almost always asked to wait before placing my order in the drive through.
Second, theyāve stopped stocking lactose free milk. Iām lactose intolerant and Iām sorry but oat milk does not taste good in a vanilla latte. You would think theyād stock the right products when guests are paying $7-$10 for a drink.
Today I took a lactose pill because I wanted a latte and I knew they didnāt have the lactose free milk. I got my latte and a cookie and drove away and when I took a sip the drink was sour. It literally had a sour taste to it. I donāt know if the milk had spoiled or if they just royally messed up the latte but it was AWFUL.
Between the horrible drinks and the lack of products they SHOULD be offering , I will not be going to this location...
