While in the area, we were looking for a place to grab some food and enjoy the ongoing festivities. This looked like a solid option and we got on pretty quickly! We were seated outside and it was beautiful. The decorations and greenery was giving California casa. What did not give was the service and the food. Despite more people being out and it getting busy, it did feel like our server didn't want us there. Our orders took an exorbitant amount of time and even getting a hot sauce bottle was some time too. The food was also middling. The beer (being recommended as a red ale) was more a sour than anything. The nachos were pitiful, with cheese distributed in an uneven fashion. The cheesesteak was dull, with the bun being a bit dry and no other dressing apart from the mayo shining through. I didn't even taste any onions in there. My colleagues ordered fish and chips and that was even worse. The filet was thin, which meant the fry had to be quick and hence, it was like eating a fish cracker in the worst way. Came for the vibes, left a disappointed man. I'm hoping they are better on a less busy day.

We sat on the outside patio and had an early dinner. They have several vegetarian options, which is great. As you can see from the photos, the food presentation is appetizing, simple, and colourful. Food was hot and their beers on tap, were tasty and welcome. They have a great beer that is like a corona but it’s a Mexican logger and it’s top-notch. The atmosphere is busy, lots of traffic, and we didn’t appreciate the couple that got up, walked behind us and stood out on the sidewalk having a cigarette while they waited for their food. Perhaps the restaurant could have a designated area set aside for people who want to do that, that’s a way from other people’s table. The hostess and servers were pleasant and a tentative. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching all the action.

Lunch on the patio. Thursday at 1:30 pm, beautiful early Sep day, still tables available (thankful). Lots of beer varieties including their own, but I had the NA Becks. Good selection of lunch items, plus, Gluten Free options for my partner w caeliac. She had the burger w GF bun. All fries are done in a GF fryer. I had the club on a focaccia bun and it had fresh chicken breast which sealed the deal. Only neg, they forgot to put in my sandwich order and the burger was out well in advance of the sandwich. We weren't in a rush and the servers were very pleasant about it, but worthy of mentioning. The patio had become very busy late lunch with some larger groups, which speaks to menu variety, location, and good quality food. We would definitely return

Come here for dinner. Had a really great server. She was attentive and very helpful. The beer is alright. The red is light on body, not having much creaminess and botanical flavour, and they were out of the pilsner(was really hoping to try that one!). The standard IPA is light enough for most to enjoy but a little too subdued to make an impression, and this also goes for the west coast session IPA, which was lighter and brighter but was still a little light on making any sort of statement. The lager was light and crisp. They were fine beers but not fighting for a place in my go to lineup. Worth trying for sure and shouldn't disappoint with managed expectations! The pretzel bites app was pretty damn good! For sure a solid pick! The Nacho's were just a little on the light side for toppings, but came with jalapenos even though it was ordered without. They were picked off and put on the pizza, which was good as well. The Charcuterie board was not. It was terrible and for $26 I would stay away from it for sure. It had pickled onions... And that is it for pickled anything, no pickles or olives . It had store bought naan bread bites for the carb selection only. It had one mild solid cheese and a small scoop of goat cheese. It had Thai chili sauce which is an odd choice and a little tub of candied walnuts. No mustards to be seen. A dozen grapes. A few slices of cold meats, of 3 kinds at least. Oh, and 2 scoops of hummus to go with the naan bread. Pretty darn disappointing (though the pesto hummus at least was a little interesting). Everything else seemed great but I was really left wondering if the people making the Charcuterie board had ever seen or had one before! It was more in line with what I would have found raiding my aunt's fridge! Better luck next time. Definitely went from a will come back to just a maybe now. Thanks for trying Wismer house! Good job having great...

This is a great patio spot for drinks and appetizers, I’ve had a few visits where the service was prompt and the fry board was delicious, huge, and perfect for sharing.

However, our recent visit dining inside was a letdown. We were told to sit anywhere in the dining room, which was nearly empty, but the chairs were extremely uncomfortable. It took about 10 minutes before our server came over to take our drink order, by that point, we were ready to order our food too.

I ordered a water and a cocktail from the happy hour menu, and my spouse asked for a Pepsi. After another 10-minute wait, the server returned with only my water. We were so thirsty that we ended up sharing it. I reminded her about the other drinks, and she said she’d grab them from the bar, but again, we waited another 10 minutes. At that point, we debated leaving. A 30-minute wait for a pop is just ridiculous.

During all this, we watched servers repeatedly bring out drinks and beers to the patio customers, which made us feel completely forgotten. Finally, our drinks arrived, and immediately after, so did our food. My spouse’s fish was unfortunately overcooked. The edges were burnt and hidden under a pile of fries, which felt a bit deceptive.

This was especially disappointing since it was our one date night for the month.

To be fair, the patio experience has been much better in the past, but I don’t recommend dining inside. It really felt like the indoor guests were an afterthought compared to...

Worst experience with a restaurant. Our waiter ( dressed like a wrapper with his pants buckled around his thighs… we though he was a street guy coming up to ask for money as we were sitting outside ) anyways he took our food and drink order but took awhile for drinks to come and then nothing for an hour we had to go up to the bar and get our own drinks refilled as he didn’t come back …. Another half hour later we finally got the 2 pizzas and nachos we ordered. Pizzas were cold and soggy he explained that they were waiting on the nachos for awhile so they were sitting abit. Then he left the table without offering more drinks and then we had the go to the bar to ask for salt and pepper. Which they retrieved from the bar fridge … salt was solid so they were kind enough to give us a handful of salt packets. If it was busy I would understand but was a Tuesday they had 3 other tables which were already eating and 4 people sitting at the bar. So no excuse for the service and 1.5 hour wait for food. So we eat our supper at 10pm finally and they brought the bill and said they applied a 25% discount….bill was still $100 for 2 pizzas, 1 nacho, 1 beer (we noticed they missed the second beer that we had to go to the bar for) 2 ice waters and 1 diet pop . Overpriced for sure poor quality food and service. We...
