I don’t usually write reviews but the experience I had here was not good the last time I visited and don’t plan on going again. Me and my boyfriend were on our way up north for a family cottage trip and thought we would stop in for a good sandwich, we’ve came here a few time before but for some reason the last time we visited we waited 40min for two sandwiches and two coffee to go. at that point we were already late and decided to to just eat are takeout food inside and quickly leave, as we were eating a lady came up to us and said “ if you were sitting in I would have put them on plates for you so we don’t have to use single use items” yes I understand that a plate would have been better than single use wrapper but again at that point we already waited 40min for two sandwiches. the attitude and judgemental glares and comments we got from the lady was absolutely crazy. As someone who has worked for a cafe for about 5 years doing the same thing I understand when people are understaffed and busy and I never give customers service workers a hard time, but this...
Read moreSuper cute staff, very informative and friendly.
Ordered a fresh raspberry scone, still warm from the oven, perfectly fluffy and not too sweet.
And an oat milk chai latte, although not too impressed with the chai flavour being less prominent to the oat milk. So I opted for a black coffee with a touch of macadamia milk and some honey instead, pretty good.
Although, I will admit coffee doesn't taste that great with alternative milks. To me, the ratio of coffee to milk substitute usually makes the flavour taste unlike coffee. I needed to remake the coffee when I got back home.
The smokey sandwich ordered is appropriately balanced, caramelized onion, pickle, with some sort of slaw and the right amount of pulled chicken. Pulled chicken is a very satisfying texture. Overall 10 out of 10 for the sandwich. And 11 out of 10 for service. The ambiance is quaint and very much like a cabin general store with a bunch of handmade goods ranging from candles, to honey, to mustards and deserts.

Read moreShared a sandwich, bought 2 drinks and one “large” pizza and total was $60 something. Honestly for the experience i think it was pretty worth it. My friends and I are from Toronto heading up to Killbear and this was on the way, I’m glad I found it in google maps as I was looking for a tasty but cute cafe tk have our brunch! (:
The staff was very friendly and their pizzas are so well made. The mango matcha was alright and it wasn’t the worst—but it was more mango than matcha hehe. Though my bf and I enjoyed their lavender drink 🫶🏻 My bf and I also shared the pulled pork sandwich~ it was enough to get your tummy full with the pizza.
Their patio was open and we were glad we got a bit of sun when the whole weather for the week was gloomy. The area where this café was located was also very lovely. It is near the gas station where we first stopped before coming here.
Definitely a worthy spot. Will come back again...
