The Galley — Restaurant in District Municipality of Muskoka

Our server was fantastic and the food was pretty good, however when it came time to check out our bills were incorrect. I had ordered a Greek salad with my meal and they brought me a Cesar, no biggie but I didn’t have time to wait for them to remake my salad (we were on lunch break and had already been there almost an hour) so I asked them just to take it off my bill. The server said that was no problem but that due to COVID she couldn’t take the salad back so someone might as well eat it. I gave it to someone at my table who likes Cesar salad.

Go to check out and; They couldn’t split the appetizer between our bills and put it all on my friend bill. The older lady checking us out said “well, I guess you owe her $6”

They couldn’t discount me for the salad because someone ate it. I told her our server said they couldn’t bring it back due to COVID so someone might as well eat it, and she said “well you still ate it, so too bad”.

They had the wrong drinks on our bills, putting my more expensive beer on my friends bill.

My friend and I are both servers (and we are also locals) so we are pretty gracious and accommodating, but these small issues that could’ve been easily resolved were met with a rude attitude from the older lady at the front.

I will reiterate that our server was great but our cashing out experience left a really bad taste, I don’t think I’ll be back or...

Absolutely FANTASTIC experience today for our ladies motorcycle ride!! I planned ahead and messaged them to request a table for 10 with our approx arrival time, and told them we had a birthday in the house! They seated us immediately on the patio (bonus points - in the shade!).. overlooking the water. It was beautiful!! 😍

The service was impeccable, our server was very attentive and super nice! Food was quick and reasonably priced. We had so much variety at our table and everything was fabulous!! Wraps, chicken quesadillas, shrimp tacos, veal on a bun, fries, onion rings, battered mushrooms, clubhouse sandwich, wings.. the salad bar too! Our birthday girl was surprised with a beautiful dessert .. a DEEP FRIED BUTTER TART!! Omg! To die for! 😋😋😋

Everything was very fresh, done to perfection. and well presented. Would definitely💯 recommend this little gem! Kudos to the owner and staff, you made our ladies (and gentleman) happy.. and gave us the strength to do the Big Chute Loop! ...

I was not happy with my experience basically because we never were able to eat anything. On July 25, I’m at a reservation for 6 PM for a table at 12 people My group travelled roughly 2 hours for a golf outing and we’re going to meet at the Galley restaurant for dinner We arrived on Tuesday, August 5 at the 6 o’clock time only to find that the restaurant was closed Now my friends and I were scrambling to try to figure out where we could go weren’t sure what was in the area, etc. and I had a lot of people rather annoyed with me I realize things happen in business businesses people get sick they get hurt or staff don’t show However, I thought it was a blatant lack of CustomerService that they didn’t even have the decency to text me or call me so we could make other plans with people travelling such a long way Not impressed...
