This branch has less crowd compared to other ones.

Appreciate the cashier who really tried to speak in English and ensure our orders are noted correctly.

Tried their Louis de l' Ouest served with coleslaw and pickle. Basically it was a beef sandwich. The tender, juicy beef was perfectly seasoned and stacked high, with a nice balance of flavors. The bread was fresh and soft, though I hope that it has more toppings other than cheese. The pickle side dish was a great tangy addition! The pickle was crisp and had the perfect balance of sour and savory, making it a refreshing contrast to the sandwich.

We upgraded our fries to poutine with bacon toppings, compared to other branches, this branch has lesser bacon and cheese curds. It was still tasty, but it could have used a bit more bacon and cheese to balance out the gravy and fries. The crispy fries were great, and the rich gravy added a lot of flavor, but with fewer toppings, it felt like it was missing that extra indulgence. Still a satisfying dish, just could use a little more of...

I had an excellent Smoked Meat and fries! The meat was seasoned perfectly and it comes with a big half dill pickle that was also very tasty. The fries have a buttery almost sweet flavor that is just right, I ordered them with vinegar and salt of course!

I highly recommend this restaurant, the staff is bilingual and very friendly so don't be afraid if your visiting and don't speak french! Its also open until 10pm which is currently an hour or two later than many of the restaurants in the area so its extra convenient too!

I plan to make this a regular stop when...

This place is a kind of typical french canadian fast-food. Everything tastes really good and they have specialities you will find no where else. Even if it is a fast-food and made on the spot, it really tastes like it is homemade. Also, it's an open kitchen so you can see people who work there and the crew is really all interdependant and nice to each other. The place itself is really cozy and has that 80's restaurant ambiance. Such a great place to go and eat really fine french canadian meals even for kids.

Update : still as good. Really glad the full...

This isn’t my first time at Louis Restaurant, and definitely won’t be my last! I actually drove all the way from Montreal just to eat here today—and it was so worth it. The onion rings were hot, crispy, and full of flavor, just like I remembered. The sandwich was fresh and satisfying, the coleslaw was creamy and crunchy, and even the pickle was on point. It’s that comforting, old-school diner experience done right. Friendly service, great portions, and consistent quality—Louis never disappoints!

Visited from Virginia and met with a friend who is Québecois, telling me the poutine here is the best you can get. It certainly lived up to the expectation! I unfortunately do not speak French well, but the servers were very accommodating being bilingual, which as a foreigner I did not expect! Fantastic poutine and service, will go back here when I visit again!
