Honest review - I pay attention to the prices of things and the portion sizes. Please note the quality of the food here is good. But not far superior to reflect the prices vs - Taste of India Express…..which in my opinion is far superior in taste. Flavour, freshness of chicken & taste of Naan dough. For far less $ you can have 1/3 more food with better flavours bigger portions and when it comes to the Naan $2.00 vs $5.00 for almost 3x the amount of bread.
I this was my first time ordering from here and it is the last. Hopefully I can save you $50! By leaving this review
DO NOT ORDER THE BUTTER CHICKEN FOR CHILDREN, it is about a 7.5 out of 10 for heat. I love spicy food and I find this almost uncomfortable to eat. Most spicy I have every had. If you like your food insanely spicy….then you will love this….not much flavour in my opinion but I don’t think I’ll be able to taste for a while after this one.
I paid extra and asked for a little extra sauce no chicken to dip the bread. I Did not receive that. So, paying $17.99 for a what I thought medium size portion of butter chicken that was a 2 person can share size portion filled half way. NOT filled up the way it should be for the price.
*They couldn’t spare me a couple table spoons of sauce in a separate cup. To dip bread Which I specifically asked for and paid for. They basically did the opposite of what I asked. (It’s ok they didn’t send enough Naan to need more sauce anyway.
The Naan bread is $5.00 per portion. 1 portion. About the same size as 2 standard size pieces of sandwich bread. And you get 1 for $5.00.
The Indian place I normally order from (Taste of INDIA express) gives you 2 huge pieces of Naan for $2.00 PER portion. Butter chicken is $2.00 cheaper and twice the portion size. I really feel ripped off here 😞😞😞😞
I ordered 2 orders of Naan and for a single portion.
Which is fine because my kids (who I ordered this for, won’t be needing the Naan because the butter chicken is far too spicy for a child to eat (age 11&14)
I like spicy food but as I’m eating it my mouth is one fire. I’m uncomfortable with the level of spicy here. It is extreme.
I hate to bash a restaurant but feel like people need honest opinions on where not to waste your $. Everything is so expensive these days. This is a total waste of $50.00 for 1 bowl of rice 1 bowl of Butter chicken and 2 pieces of Naan bread probably 6” by 6”
I feel ripped off.
Don’t waste you time here. Order from the place behind the mall TASTE OF INDIA EXPRESS.
Just an honest review, I know it’s hard to run a restaurant and make money. But it is important to compare prices of take out. $2.00 vs $5.00 $16.00 vs $17.99 and the portions are close 1/3 larger for the...
Read moreNot a good experience !! We ordered food for takeout 45 minutes before, after arriving, wait another 20 minutes to get food. Overpriced and low quality products. ( even the butter chicken gravey was store bought and re-heated) Provide wrong food. But they corrected. Even though the next time, non-spicy noodles was horrible too. You can only teast low graded tomato ketchup in your noodles!! Come on !! You can do better... when you opened a restaurant. Mr. Bhim singh Thomar!!!. Description: We Order a) Yellow Dal Fry ( Dal tarka)
What's wrong in it: The Yellow dal teast bland Teast less. Maybe boiled a week before, The tomatoes and onion are half cooked. Half raw. Give an awful teast. Sorry to say that if a chef can't fry tomatoes ,onion & copper garlic property, you shouldn't open a restaurant. No flavor and missing seasonings. Not able to eat the dish at all... Went to garbage. b) Madras Chicken Curry. What's wrong in it: 1st of all, the proper name should be of that particular dish in that facility." Madras Style Butter chicken." Oh Man !! That was horrible. That's a shame on You Mr. Chef, when you call that Madras curry. If you don't know what's Madras curry is, please don't make it. You can't mix store bought canned butter chicken gravy with mustard seed and dry coconut and call it Madras curry. Also, coconut was not cooked properly, as it's a dry store bought greated coconut it need to rehydrate and then cook throughout, Probably the chef has no idea what he is doing. It's your food is taking, sir!!! In a bad way.
Recommendation: Stay away from...

Favourite dishes are the Honey Glazed Cauliflower, Baigan Bharta, Lamb Rogan Josh, and Palak Paneer. Glazed cauliflower is so crispy and delicious. Definitely addictive. More places have Baigan Bharta than before, but I like this version the best. Lots of flavour and less oil. Great texture. Lamb Rogan Josh is tender and the sauce is thick and flavourful. Palak Paneer same. Sauces here are not runny at all. Flavour is concentrated and perfect for naan :) Every dish stands well on its own.
Naan is great texture and char. The Mutter-Jeera Pulau is delicious!
Portion size is good. 3 dishes plus naan and rice feeds about 5-6 people depending on appetite.
There was a comparison to Taste of India (which we also like), but I think that the portions are comparable for take out, and the food is a bit higher quality in that the sauces are thicker and more flavourful. Depends what you feel like.
The butter chicken is our least favourite. Not bad, but I think other things on the menu are much better. Heat level is true to form. Mild is a tingle on the tongue, medium is yummy, and hot is milk worthy but not overboard (although everyone has...
