O'Neill's Pub — Restaurant in South Stormont

The one star is for the decent food. Zero stars for some of the worst service I've ever recieved. Our server, who happened to be the owner, had a terrible attitude and was extremely unprofessional.

A friend and I went to O'Neills for a late lunch and sat at an empty table with nothing on it. The owner came over, without saying a word, and began angrily spraying the table. Our conversation was stopped due to the cleaning spray going on our legs and clothing. The owner's response to our confusion was "Well, that's what you get for sitting at a dirty table." There was a "Wait to be seated" sign, which we obviously missed, however the aggressive attitude was unnecessary and over the top, especially after we apologized for the error. Unbelievably, the server's attitude escalated from here. She brought the menus and seemed annoyed by my friend asking what was on tap. She made a condescending "Pip, pip, pip, pip" sound while pointing at the drink menu, as if speaking to a child. When she brought our drinks to the table, she was noticeably irritated that we had not yet looked at the food menu. After we finished eating, I remembered that I had stopped at the grocery store to pick up a pint of cream, which I had put on the table because I did not want to leave it in my hot car. When I could not find it, I asked the server if she had seen it and she said she threw it out. I explained the situation to which she said "Oh well, I didn't know." That's it. No apology, no compensation, no nothing. Normally, after a simple apology, I would have just chalked it up to a mistake and made nothing of it, but she was so inconcievably rude throughout the course of our visit that I asked her to take the cost of it off the bill. She actually laughed out loud and said, "I'm not going to do that." On top of this nonsense, when I asked if she was the owner, she snidely replied "Yes, I am. Do you want to make a complaint? You haven't been happy since you walked in and sat at a dirty table."

As someone who has worked in the customer service industry for the entirety of my career, I understand how hard it can be to deal with difficult people after a long day, which is why, until today, I never publicly comment on sub par service. That being said, my friend and I were nothing but pleasant to the owner yet she continued to be rude and disrespectful. On a side note, the other server who brought our bill was very friendly.

I never leave reviews, neither good nor bad, but I felt compelled to make an exception in this case due to the horrible service we recieved, particularly as it was...

We visited Upper Canada village and were looking for a restaurant for lunch. We found a place with better reviews than others and decided to try it. We were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant's decoration and atmosphere may not have been impressive, but the food was excellent. We went there on a Tuesday, which happened to be wing night, and almost the entire restaurant was reserved. Luckily, they were able to offer us a seat. Since everyone online had praised their wings, I decided to try them, and we also ordered chicken fingers. Both were delicious. The wings were awesome - crispy, crunchy, yet juicy and cooked to perfection, with the option to choose your own sauce. The chicken fingers also did not disappoint. Despite being busy, the staff were super nice, sat us right away, and made sure everything was okay. If you're visiting, I highly recommend trying this place out. I'm sure the local people savor this little...

The look from outside made us wonder, one inside we weren't so sure, but we were reassured when seeing that the place had many people. Reading that the kitchem is small amd we have to be patient while waiting for our food, made us more confident that the place was good since the food was fresh. Once we got our dishes........I was delicious. The wings are fantastic. I had th suicide sauce which wasn't that spicy (for those who are used to it) but it had a great taste. I actually went to hald a round after finishing a basket. We also had a medium sauce which tasted fantastic for those affraid of spicy food. Hopefully we will go nack .... For wings wings wings.
