Smashburger — Restaurant in St. Albert

I enjoy the food here first off, I have been here 3 times. My only issue is this is the second time in row and didn't say anything the first time because thought to be a 1 off. I just got home here opened the bag and it's not even close to what I ordered. I ordered a Hangover Burger with a extra paddy, and Inferno with fries for both and 2 cans of Pepsi. Costing just shy of $60.00 tip put me over $60 as the extra Paddy is $6.25 and Pops are $3 a piece. I got what looks like a basic cheese burger with cheese. And only 1 order of fries were going to eat it because I am not going all the way there to fix it and then have to wait also. Now I take some responsibility as the young man there handed me a can of Diet Pepsi I said no it's two cans of Pepsi hold the diet lol. And he looked so lost, he kept looking at the girl at the till and back the the paper back to me, about 5 times. 😂 I thought I was asking for his kidney. 😂 I said it's fine just switch it and did you charge for the other Pepsi she said no I missed it, I said all good I will pay for it the other can. And they both still looked lost lol. I get it first jobs probably, we have all been there. Once we figured that out I should have checked the bag because if the pop threw them off the order for sure was probably going to be wrong so my mistake. The reason I am writing this not to give these young guys a hard time they were very nice and all. Respectful I had zero issue. The lack of confidence is apart of grow up. So all good.

I just paid thou for probably $25.00 worth of stuff and that's being nice . And like I said I paid $60.00 for it. And I have 3 kids a wife, house and bah bah bah like we all do but things are so tight we don't go out often at all these days and the only reason we went tonight is because wife and 2 of the kids weren't home so it was a treat for the 2 of us. Now we still have to eat something at home here with it costing more after the $60.00 so dinner cost the same as having the whole family go eat. And 2nd is that this is the second time I mean 6 months apart but second time. It's because there is no true leader leading them, no communication between them too, I watch as they worked no one is really talking to the person in the other station, fires were dropped after the fact, should have been first that type of thing. They need a older person with confidence to lead them and this place would shine. Like I said food is great even as I write this the burger I am eating is great not mine but great! 😂

Just unfortunately I can't throw $60.00 away and still eat at home. So hoping if I say something they will make some great changes and we are good to go! I will be back as the food is great! just the chain of command is all over the place. I watch one girl there walk in circles because she didn't know what to do the entire time I was there I thought it was kinda funny but felt bad for her too! No one to lead her.

So check your orders, before you send them out, or have one person that just bags that's it. As we are all feeling the pitch nowadays and money is too important to throw away. I wanted to know what a grill cheese burger tastes like I guess next time! 😂 😂 😂 Thanks guys and see you in...

I REALLY wanted to love my meal. This place has been on my list of burger places to go to for quite some time, and I was excited to finally make it there on the weekend. Although I was hungry, I was overwhelmed with the menu. A lot of the beef burgers looked so RICH, so I decided to go with the turkey burger meal. I’m sad to say that my burger was VERY oily…to the point where I couldn’t taste any of the dressings or fresh ingredients. After a couple of bites the bun just seemed soaked in grease. I could only finish 2/3 of the burger before I just felt gross afterwards. To be clear: I didn’t expect this to be a HEALTHY tasting meal…of course not! You go to a place like this to enjoy a sinful and amazingly tasting burger. Maybe the burger didn’t get enough time to rest after it got off the grill? I’ll try again in the future and just go for a simple single cheeseburger instead.

They gave me the wrong order and when I returned it I had to wait 20 minutes for another one... I had ordered a salad... the cobb salad comes with ranch dressing and they gave me one with some kind of spicy sauce.. I'm 7 months pregnant and can't eat spicy foods at all. The burger that my boyfriend had tasted great but the portions for the price we paid wasn't worth it. There were maybe 13 tater tots in his order and it definitely didn't fill up the cardboard box it came in... also the cobb salad was just arugula, some shredded cheese with a spoonful of avocado and some bacon bits. I really don't even think that can be considered a cobb salad. Also when my boyfriend went up to ask where my salad was they informed him that I wanted a different sauce so I had to wait... I didn't want a different sauce.. I wanted what I had ordered and the ranch is what the salad came with.
