Sushi Yuzen — Restaurant in St. Albert

I brought a friend of mine along for the Saturday ramen, but didn't realize until we got there that it was only during the lunch service. We decided on the sushi instead. Service was really friendly and the miso soup was excellent. The sushi was nice; the size of each slice was spot on but the portion of rice for each was definitely too small. Very refreshing to see a good wasabi paste, my friend and I were both very impressed with it. There was more than enough, to the point of being wasteful. At the end of the day my only complaint was the portion size: I feel there should've been more rice per piece and more pieces included to get my full value for the price we paid, otherwise definitely enjoyed the quality and definitely going to come back and...

Only went for the ramen special on Saturday afternoon, so can't speak for the rest of the menu....but the piping hot ramen was excellent. Noodles were chewy and savoury, broth was well made and just right (I ordered shio, or 'salt' ramen), toppings were fresh and suited the dish perfectly (the menma actually tasted right! Other restaurants in Edmonton serving ramen had menma that tasted like an overseasoned shoe...) and the charsiu (pork) was fantastic. Only criticism is the price (a bit expensive, but still reasonable; my ramen was about $12, $14.50 with extra pork), but that isn't enough to keep me from going back. My compliments...

I have never dealt with a restaurant like this one, that would go over and above like these wonderful people have. I live in the United States and I needed to purchase a gift card for my son in Edmonton but I didn’t know how was going to get it to him in time. Sushi Yuzen took care of everything. They even went as far as getting a Christmas card for him and HAND delivering it to his house in a gift bag. They didn’t even ask me for extra money for all of their efforts. I cannot thank these people enough! If you want exceptional customer service, then please visit...
