A 4.5 stars and if not.. even a five. Allow me to explain. While the service was excellent and the overall atmosphere was that of a typical well-run diner, the one thing that I did notice is that the portion size (breakfast potatoes) were not consistent. In the images included you could see this (rather on a small size amount given in comparison to the other plate). Every staff member had a smile, was attentive and 'seems' to like/enjoy their job (seems everyone is grumpy these days). Overall money well spent as the food (breakfast) was excellent and it's always a bonus when the price didn't break the budget (very reasonable). * the ham and peameal bacon (slight char) were both superb as well as the breakfast potatoes (hit it with some of the seasoning powder on the table). * the pepper sauce (hot sauce) they had for sale (and you're able to try inhouse) was basic. A raw curry taste overwhelmed it, somewhat on the sweet side (really didn't taste the sweetness nor flavor of the pineapple) and the heat wasn't really there.. well slightly later on you'd faintly get it. Good consistency and texture though. Side note.. the people seated in the booth behind us got what seemed like a sizzling breakfast bowl (brought to out table in error) and not only did it look GOOD, the scent was captivating. Thanks Good Eats Diner!

My family and I were on our way to Niagara Falls and we stopped for breakfast, food was great and service too, when we try to pay the bill it was only cash or debit, I try my debit card but because it was from the US it got declined, the server call the owner and he was very friendly and helpful he gave me directions to go to the bank to get cash and come back it took some time for us to drive in a small town and find the bank, when we finally got the cash and we come back to the restaurant it was 1 hour later and he wasn’t expecting to see us again, the bill was around $70 Canadian dollars I try to give him a tip but he only took $5 dollars for the servers definitely this never happens in the US, this was quite a great experience and how friendly the owner and the staff where I really recommend this diner.

Everything you'd expect from a Diner. Except. Fully equipped with an amazing smoker and a menu FULL of house made smoked meats. The brisket sando I had was one of the top three sandwiches I've EVER had. I don't digest white flour really well, but I REALLY wanted the brisket, provolone, onion and pepper sub. The server suggested the sourdough rye as the bread. OMG!!! The brisket was the absolute star. Perfect all the way through. Perfectly smoked, seasoned and served. The portion was crazy!! I only managed half and my son destroyed the leftover half when he got back from work. I took a pic of the sandwich. I didn't take a pic of my wifes French Toast which was equally amazing! Perfectly prepared and presented. Hats off to the owner, the kitchen staff and the super friendly servers.

We were visiting Niagra Falls Canada and found this this restaurant using Google. We were immediately taken to our seat and my husband and I noticed a big sign by the register that stated debit and cash only. (Perfect as we had no cash on us. Cash only, we would have found somewhere else to go). Ordered our food, it came quickly and it was ok and the waitress was nice. We go up to pay with our US Debit card. The guy paying in front of us was told Canadian debit only. He fortunately had someone with him that had cash. We told the cashier we had no cash only US debit. The cashier told us to hold on. A man came slamming through the kitchen door (bouncer, owner…not sure). He tells us Canadian debit only. My husband offered advice of adding the word Canadian before debit on the sign. The man said it doesn’t matter, people don’t read it anyway. We explained that we did. We asked if there was an ATM near by. He directed us to the 5 minute drive and asked us to leave an ID until we return. His demeanor was very rude and unprofessional. We went to the ATM and returned to pay. Once again, my husband suggested that he put Canadian debit on the sign and this issue wouldn’t happen again. This appears to be an ongoing issue. His demeanor had changed but he was still defensive in saying no one reads these signs. He apologized for the inconvenience but I feel it was only because other patrons were present. Instead of using a sharpie to add “Canadian” debit only to his handmade sign, a defensive response will be made to this post. Regardless, this was our experience, we just feel it was worthy of our review. We live in MI and frequent the Niagara Falls area. We cannot promote or encourage an establishment with such rudeness on something that was...

Went here for the first time yesterday. Not super busy so service was good or so we first thought. I ordered the club sandwich with salad. The guy's ordered 3egg breakfest special. Also my friend had blueberry pancakes. It took longer than expected. Surprisingly my club came not cut in quarters on multigrain bread. The bacon on my sandwich was not cooked at all so I removed it. The turkey was so old and dried out and tasted like the fridge. Completely not edible. The tossed salad consisted of old brown edged lettuce, mushy tomatoes and tiny bits of cucumber. Not edible either. The waitress came over to check on the food. I explained it was not good. She offered other choices. I opted for toast. We waited at our table for the bill. Not knowing that you pay at the front. When we went to pay the waitress took off like a shot. We were then cashed out by the other server. Shocked to see we were charged for the club sandwich. Had to explain why I didn't eat it and what was wrong with it. Then it was removed from the bill. The other meals were mediocre at best. Toast not buttered, home fries overcooked, pemeal bacon undercooked and pancakes were dry. Needless to add. Not planning to return so done with trying to get what...
