Before this experience we loved coming here for pizza and pasta!
My husband, 2 boys and I came to eat here on Saturday last minute for supper. It was pretty busy at the time we arrived but was told a table would be put together for us in 5 minutes - it took about 10 which is obviously fine for it being busy.
We sat down to eat and probably waiting about 10 minutes to be asked if we wanted to order drinks. Those drinks arrived twice one by the boss or manager (incorrectly) and again 5 minutes later (correct) from our waiter who spilt my ceaser all over our table as well as shattering a glass very close to my husband and 1 year old. The manager or boss showed up 2 minutes later with out beverages again - there was obviously no communication there. Not only did I drink spill everywhere just missing my husband and glass shattered everywhere it took probably about 10 to 15 minutes for someone to come and clean up our table and all the broken glass very poorly. This delayed our food ordering by 20 to 25 minutes finally our waiter came to ask if we are ready to order our food obviously we were. We ordered our food and by this time our boys were very grumpy and hungry we were there for an hour if not more. How about 25 minutes later we received our food, obviously the food Was delicious but it was a huge inconvenience to be at the restaurant with everything that happened prior and it was in an enjoyable experience.
Obviously we know that it’s not the waiter’s fault that The drinks spilt and we know things happen but this whole process could’ve been handled differently. With that being said we thought maybe some thing would be compensated on our bill as we were just not happy with everything other than the food. We got the bill and after spending just over $80 we left and regretted going to the restaurant which I hate feeling that way after trying to have a family outing.
Let’s just say we aren’t sure when we will be back. We had come to the restaurant when they first opened and loved the experience and the staff and this time was just not the same experience. Unfortunately we had to leave feeling overwhelmed and...
Read moreMy husband and I have been twice now and overall have enjoyed our experience. The first time we went was two weeks after opening and the server made a couple minor mistakes, but that's to be expected so close to opening. The next time we went our server still wasn't as on top of things as well as I would have expected of an establishment of this calibre. It took so long after we were seated for a server to come to our table that we were ready with our entire order. When my husband's drink ran empty he was not offered a refill until our meal was finished and we were almost ready to leave. I'm not sure if this is standard practice, but when served wine the server brought a water spotted wine glass and the decanter of wine to the table, deposited the two and left without pouring the wine. This was on a Monday night where the restaurant was mostly empty and a lot of servers were milling around the front desk.
One other note regarding the food (which is very tasty) is that when I ordered an individual sized pizza by the time it came to the table the bottom was soggy. Putting the hot pizza directly in a ceramic plate without a paper in between allowed the condensation to ruin what I imagine is otherwise a very nicely textured crust. For that reason alone I did not order pizza the second time I went.
Overall it seems like a great place, but the professionalism of the servers could be bumped up a notch. We are excited to try their takeout...
Read moreI’ll admit the food and the portion sizes are usually good. For those reasons I come back from time to time, but don’t expect anything on time. Every time I order takeout, it’s ready later than they say. Usually 30-45 minutes after their stated time. But this morning broke me. Went for breakfast. They were about 1/3 full and most people sitting had their food. So it clearly wasn’t an overly busy kitchen. We sat down and asked to please order immediately since we knew what we wanted. 20 minutes later they finally took our order. They even commented how easy our order was. Then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. A full hour after we arrived, we finally got our food. Many people who arrived after us were finishing their meals before ours arrived. In that hour, they offered one coffee refill total and told us twice that it was almost ready. The plates arrived hot with the food luke-warm. The toast was cold which was actually a good thing because the gobs of butter hadn’t melted and I was able to remove most of it before it turned the toast completely soggy. The rest of the food was ok except for the double dose of salt. Will I be back? Likely for pizza or lasagna, but only when I have tons of time to kill and likely not ever...
