Went here as I was in town and wanted to try somewhere new that wasn’t fast food for breakfast and it wasn’t really busy so we said why not. We had just sat down and the waiter instantly served us coffee, she didn’t ask if and what we would like to drink but assumed that we were having coffee, she poured the coffee and it was spilling out of the pot and was going all over the table. She just said sorry and kept on going, the one thing that would’ve made that moment better was her saying “let me clean that for you” but that wasn’t the case. She just left and I had to use my napkin to clean up her mess. Not more than one minute later, she came back and asked if we were ready yet when we hadn’t clearly opened up our menus. She left then came back 3 minutes later and asked if we were ready again, we felt pressured to make a quick decision so I had inquired about the $9 breakfast special on their website, she was very rude in saying that it was outdated as if I should’ve known that it was now $11. I find more and more businesses are lacking on updating their website and store hours. A coffee at our table was spilt and the waiter came over and gave us two towels to clean up the mess, she didn’t even try to help us and she stood there watching us, didn’t even give us new napkins afterwards, she said that she would be right back to refill the coffee but never did. We had to flag her down and ask her for water. Overall the service wasn’t the best, the food on the other hand was pretty good. First visit, wanted to try a good reviewed diner in town. I must say, not very pleased. We had just sat down and the waitress didn’t even say hi how are you, we expected she’d ask what we’d like to drink but she had started pouring coffee already. The coffee started spilling and all she had to say was “oh, it’s spilling” and continued to keep pouring. She leaves the spilled coffee on the table and we literally had to clean it up after her. She came back 3 times in a good span of 3 mins to ask us if we were ready to order, we felt pressured into ordering as she seems very impatient. We asked about the $9 special on their website and the waiter was rude about it as if we had known they changed it to $11. Not a biggie. I accidentally bumped my coffee cup, spilt everywhere and they just tossed us two towels and we had to clean the whole table ourselves as the waiter stood and watch. They didn’t offer more napkins and I had to ask for water minutes later as the waiter didn’t even come back to refill my cup. I’m passing by the town, and I saw the good review but sad to say, I don’t have much good to say about the service to this place. We arrived @ 1:30 on 28/7/23. We received menus and ordered our beverage. We both wanted the turkey dinner however, we were then told there was no turkey. That would’ve been nice to know when we were given the menus. I ordered a patty melt $15 and my daughter ordered the chicken tenders basket $16.50. The server was most unfriendly and very abrupt. She brought our utensils, but just sat them on the edge of the table, rather than putting them in front of us. My daughter received her Caesar salad but I wasn’t served my soup. Starters should come at the same time. While my daughter was finishing her salad, we received a call and we had to leave so ordered it to be taken out. The chicken tenders and fries tasted freezer burned and we were not given the dipping sauce, ketchup, napkins or utensils. My patty melt was simply awful, starting from the horrible patty. There were very few sautéed onions, and the cheese was unnoticeable for a “melt.” The cup of gumbo soup was watered down. We are shocked that this place has a decent reviews.
