Swiss Chalet — Restaurant in Strathroy-Caradoc

I mean this is probably going to seem petty but we ordered two of the festive specials and one of them was supposed to have seasoned fries and of course we get it home and it doesn’t. The problem for us is we live out in the country and it’s not practical to return to get the order corrected so it just turns out to be a disappointment. When we got there to pick up our order there was no one in the restaurant and no one waiting to pick up n order ahead of us or behind us so it’s not like it was a “really busy night” situation. And the order was done online so like, you can just look at it anytime to make sure it’s right. Outside appearance of the store was excellent. Clean and tidy. Parking was convienient. Very inviting! Inside smelled great, made me eager to order my food. We were seated quickly. Since it was later in the afternoon the resturant was't overly busy so we were surprised when it took awhile for our order to be taken. When the food arrived it was excellent. Hot, looked appetizing and it was soooooo good! It was a very enjoyable lunch. The only minor complaints I would have was the length of time it took between placing our order and receiving our food... and trying to find a quiet place to sit. Disgusting to see staff adjusting his junk, then check the garbage container, without gloves on, and then back to serving customers immediately without washing their hands. Lost our appetite and never finished the meals after watching that. Food was not hot or as shown in the pictures. Had to ask for the Christmas chocolate even though they were right next to cashier stand on racks. Far from standards and won't return. Chicken was dry, Bread was hard like day old. Gray on the sand which might have been better if there was a flavour to it, not sure if it was chicken or beef gravy on a hot chicken sandwhich but even it didn't soften the bread. Really not swiss...
