I come here often for lunch, dinner, just to hang out and enjoy the patio or the live events that go on. It's a great place for the locals and anyone who wants some good food, great beers, and relaxed atmosphere. I love it.
The cajun club is my go to, but I always gotta have fish and chips once a month. Their burgers and pizzas are great too. Overall just easy going in all the right ways.
Erik (I believe he's the owner) provided amazing service and insight to a direct message I sent on Facebook. I've talked to him in person once or twice prior, it's obvious that he works hard and cares about the business and local support. Great attributes to have and it shows in the success of the establishment.
I had a problem with a couple of their beers 🍺 that I purchased from the local BC liquor store. Just a foam issue, I thought I'd bring it to their attention which I rarely do with any business. Erik took it seriously though, looked into it, gave me some insight, info, and made good on my purchase; thanks Erik!
Local support is important, and I hope people continue to visit. Giant's Head Brewing is the perfect counter to the local Perch pub, which I haven't visited since Giant's Head Brewing opened. When I have to choose, I always go to GHB.
I've been a fan, I am a fan, and I will remain a supporter of this great local brewpub. Buy the beer they sell in the pub too btw, it better supports their business, and you get the really...
Read moreWe had the absolute pleasure of visiting Giant’s Head Brewing after winning their annual competition, and from the moment we arrived from Vancouver, we were treated with such warmth and hospitality. Greg our main contact welcomed us with genuine kindness and made us feel right at home. His energy and attentiveness really set the tone for the day and made our whole family feel comfortable and cared for.
The food selection was great, with lots of options to suit everyone including our two young kiddos. The fish and chips were spot on: crispy, fresh, and super tasty. And the mini donuts...absolutely delicious. They were a hit with all of us.
We got to sample a range of their award-winning beers, and each one had its own personality, flavorful, well-balanced, and clearly crafted with care. The private brewery tour was a real highlight. Their brew master was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also clearly passionate about her craft. Listening to her talk about the brewing process and how she blends flavors was fascinating and added so much depth to the experience.
To top it all off, we were gifted a VERY generous selection of sample beers from Giant’s Head and some local wineries. We brought them back to Vancouver and enjoyed every last sip—each one a reminder of the great time we had.
Huge thanks to Greg and the whole team for making our visit so memorable. We’ll definitely be back to sample more...
Read moreSuper unimpressed… the service was majorly lacking. Granted there were only two servers on but it is a small restaurant and should’ve been manageable. I have been a server so I understand. There is only one vegan friendly option other than French fries which we ordered one of and got two - I wasn’t mad until our bill came and they were $11 each… for a small plate of French fries. The only vegan dish is cauliflower hummus and kimchi dish. I have zero reservations about eating weird things but this was such a weird dish and unfortunately the flavour was not there. I ordered two cocktails while there and the first was decent but the second was warm, ice had almost melted and was watered down by the time I got it. Server was only friendly at the end of the transaction while we were paying. Overall just extremely irritated and disappointed. Will not be going back, will not be recommending this...
