Just Delicious Japanese Bistro — Restaurant in Summerland

For the first time, I am very disappointed. I ordered 2 spicy salmon cones, rainbow rolls and 2 sets of happy rolls. I was hungry and opened the order in the car. Bit into one of the cones only to find they were bland. No sauce. Went back inside to mention this to the cashier. She assured me that the spicey sauce was on there. I had to take the rcone apart to show here that it was indeed missing. Instead of offering to replace the cones, I am presented with a small container of sauce. Not the best service, however I left and went home with the remainder of the order only to discover that the happy rolls were also without sauce and thus also extremely bland. We tried this place based on the positive reviews and were very disappointed. Maybe we're spoiled by the sushi available at the coast but most of the food we ordered was "meh" and some was not good at all. About half of my edamame tasted freezer burnt, my chicken katsu was so salty I could barely eat it. My friends who ordered rolls and sashimi said they were mediocre and my friend who ordered the chicken teriyaki said the teriyaki sauce was lumpy and gelatinous. Wonderful sushi & so fresh! Yummy soup & other tasty dishes that we have enjoyed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is piping hot when picked up.
