Michael's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Summerside

Quality of pizza is very inconsistent. Sometimes it's really good and sometimes it's terrible. I ordered 18 inch 4 topping with 2l pop (47.99 after taxes and delivery) everytime. Last time it was missing a topping completely. This time it was overloaded with sauce and hardly any crust at all. Very little toppings this time also. The box my pizza was delivered jn was damaged this time. After receiving the pizza and walking in my door it broke up from the bottom and 4 slices hit the floor. I attempted to call them but could not get through (assuming busy do to father's day) so I am writing this review now instead. I will say the staff who answer the phones are always super friendly and polite when I call. I dont expect perfection every time but when I'm paying top dollar for pizza some consistency in the qualoty would go a long way in keeping me a satisfied customer. Update. After originally posting my review the restaurant reached out to me to discuss my concerns and offered me a small discount on a future order. I accepted the offer and have since then ordered from them on many occasions. Every time the food has been excellent. The ladies answering the phone and the girl delivering my pizza remain super friendly and accommodating. I loved this restaurant since I was a child- exceptional service throughout my adolescent years and adulthood. Family and friends alike would likely brag about how delicious and incredible the crust was. But I mean this- save your money and do not go here. The quality has rapidly gone downhill and I do not say this light heartedly. I used to come here often for slices and the crust and toppings were perfectly balanced. You couldn’t even call it a crust these days because it’s so sloppy and greasy and you cannot even hold it in your hands without it falling apart. I had given it about 3 tries to see if it was just an off day as I had recently moved to Charlottetown and do not make the trip to Summerside often anymore. I asked for a refund today as I just do not see the point in paying for pizza that is not enjoyable for me or my family. The server working was quick to argue with me about how the service and quality has not changed and it is the same staff, completely invalidating my complaint. I would not call this great customer service. Seriously never going back here again and it saddens me because I really was a huge Michaels fan but you just lost a life...

I am rating our experience as a whole a 3. Although the pizza was incredible- fresh toppings, served hot, tasted amazing! The service is what completely fell through. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:25pm to which we went to sit down in the dining room. The waitress was visibly annoyed. When I asked her what time the dining room was open until, she said 9pm. She was polite enough through our experience.. but that was because she has to be in this industry, but as a server myself I could tell she just wanted to get out of there as it was close to closing time. She never brought more napkins, asked us how our food was or offered us refills. She actually DROPPED THE BILL OFF WHILE we were still eating ….. yes, it sucks when tables come in close to closing … but it’s your job. Be annoyed but do that in private.
