This is a little gem of a museum if you enjoy learning local history of an area when you are visiting. Our experience was really special because of the pleasant and very knowledgeable staff person, Eithne, who took the time to explain how to access the interactive information exhibits, and point out the special features of the museum so we could get the most out of our visit. Although the fur industry was an important part of the PEI economy during that time period but I am glad to see enlightenment has come about since.
The basket weaving exhibit was informative with some beautiful examples presented. There was also a good display on green energy.
Although im not a fan of digital presentations, the exhibits on display were overall good. However, I feel that filling out the exhibit space could only improve the museum experience.

Read moreIt’s a small museum with a bit of history about the military, the Mikmaq people, and PEI’s work towards sustainability. There’s also a small fox museum upstairs. Entrance is by donation. Most of the displays are digital which I didn’t enjoy, but I guess that’s how they can fit so much information into a small place. Two of the digital displays didn’t work.
