The Knot Beach Bar & Rentals — Restaurant in Summerside

A rather unfortunate experience on a beautiful summer evening. First, we were sitted with no indication they were out of menu items (most). Out of diet pop, really! Out of lettuce so no tacos, salad, etc; out of beef so no hamburgers. Our small glasses if water were quickly emptied with no offer to refill. When the server did come and ask if we needed anything, we asked for more waters. She never came back. Table next to us was seated shortly after us and were never told that half the items on the menu were unavailable. I mentioned this them on our departure and they were quite disappointed. The food that we did get (Nacos and lettuceless tacos) were mediocre at best. We were looking forward to their advertised trivia that the server stated started at 7pm. The Knot in Summerside, PEI is a true gem! I stopped in for a bite after enjoying the bay walk and had the pork tacos, which were light and absolutely perfect to enjoy with a glass of wine. The salsa was incredibly fresh and full of flavor.

What really made my visit memorable was Michael. He welcomed me with such warmth that I immediately felt like I belonged. It's rare to find a host with such a natural talent for making every guest feel at home. The atmosphere was fun and familiar, and the picturesque view of the water just added to the charm.

The drinks were really good. The service was good. When we went, they were switching over the menu to fall so they were very limited on items available, all we got was chips and salsa.

The reason we’re giving it three stars is because there was a baby girl probably around 6 months old, two tables down from us getting changed, naked on the lower half on the table that you would eat on.
